Hello,

For those that care, here is the latest in my life happy

Business-wise I am simply killing it. I expect to retire from work-a-day in a year or two. I own three business and am now doing venture capital to keep things interesting. I have been married for 5 years since June and recently visited the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Amazing places and I highly recommend Sri Lanka for adventure travel. The wife and I are discussing kids next year.

Lets see.... picking up golf and joining Saucon Valley Country Club shortly. I have been swinging a club for about two weeks and hitting it relatively straight and far. We are joining the country club mostly for our collective parents to enjoy as its one of the few that extends full benefits to parents and children. Gyes, sounds like a day on the course may be necessary?

I guess I am literally becoming the "Man" in the sense that I am doing all of those things that evil people in movies do. Except without the evil side despite what the Jaf haters may think. I am thinking about getting my pilot's license and am currently spending every other Thursday playing Pathfinder in a real-life pen and paper group. To think such things exist?

I am playing WoW and raiding four days a week as a Paladin tank. I have been on and off playing as a Paladin over there. Surprised? Ha! So have heart true beleivers, I am still soldiering on in the gaming world. I led a guild in WoW for about 2 years but now honestly just prefer to play in my ten man with some good people. Managing all that stuff just proves to be so stressful and I want my game to be for just fun these days. I even like wiping on Heroic Firelands bosses (1/7 atm).

Good to see you guys are still plugging away. Oh and Laris how is our love child? I hope the child support payments are keeping little Jaffy in good health. Make sure he is getting his immunization shots. None of this hippy autism bullcrap. Herd Immunity FTW!

I still think of my times here with great fondness and have never connected to a game or community like this one again. Of course, I don't have the kind of time that I once did. I miss that connection but also realize, with infinite sadness, that you cannot capture lightning in a bottle twice. It was glorious to do it once and have those memories for the rest of my life.

Who loves ya babay?

Jaffy wink

That would require me to play golf... or even like it a little. However, if you are up for a game of mini-golf, there are several fine courses in the greater PA area. Tennis, however, is a much more worthy venture. If you learn to play that, let me know.

Hey Jaf, glad to see things are going good. I'm in Livingston NJ and golf a lot so we should meet up some time for a round. Saucon Valley is about 75 minutes away for me. Lots of courses in between on I78.

Dib

PS. children will push out your retirement date!

Gyes,

SVCC has all kinds of tennis courts. Perhaps we can get you and your wife up for dinner? A little less tequila shots than we did at the US Open. I still have trouble remembering the action on the court. I am thinking of picking up tennis because the wife likes it. So if I do that it will give you additional motivation to drive on up.

Dib,

Definitely man. When we are through the process over there I will send you a PM and we will set it up. Won't be until next summer though. The process is about 2 months and by that time we will be well past the season. I will work on my game so its not a complete embarrassment. Oh and on the children pushing out that retirement date... I don't plan on retiring per se. I just bank on not having responsibilities that bind me to a specific schedule. You can get a hell of a lot done with blackberrys and tablets these days. I do management tasks all the time, but I have good people in the right positions and its just a matter of directing them.

As for returning to the game, nah. I tried that a few times and all it does is create nostalgia. It was a great game for the storyline and we had such an amazing time on Solclaim. Its hard to recapture that and the quality of the game experience is not keeping up with current tech. Sure I miss it, but I have tried and failed to restart twice. Not going to do that a third time. Too many people to disappoint, including me happy

Update! 4/7 heroic in firelands now.

Wow, this place is still going.

Lots of things happened in the last 10 years. Finished University, fought in Iraq, opened a consulting firm, immigrated to Canada, bought a house... Currently managing a team of business analysts in one of the top 5 Canadian banks.

Good to see so many familiar names. Sure brings back memories happy

Well, well, well, hello there former Monarch, sir! It is I, Mankar. Though, to be honest, you probably wouldn't remember me. I'm glad to know you're doing well. I am also doing well. I recall our questing together when you would go incognito as some guy, man, what was his name? Some sword guy. This was way back in 2002, I suppose. What fun times. And we'd run around with this total goofball of a chick, Dayana or Angelique, I think her name was. What a hoot!
