Subject: Notebook twin graphic cards question
Hello, my laptop has two video processors, the integrated intel video and nvidia gt540. How do i know if windows switched to the nvidia card when i launch a game?

How recently did you buy your machine? Old Optimus made you switch manually. New optimus should be on the fly. Trust me, if ANY game were running on that crappy intel integrated stuff, you'd notice.

I bought it a week ago. WoW runs as good on my GF's notebook with integrated intel graphics. I removed all the asus crap and i am getting some 1 second freeze in WoW. Dunno if it's related cuz it was removed before installing that game. I run Crysis fine tho.

I could have sworn that the latest Catalyst and NVidia drivers would allow you to specify that they're always used once within Windows. Haven't goofed about with a laptop with two chipsets in a while though. I wonder if Ati and Nvidia have performance counters you can install.
