I'm not going to bother getting into the specifics of what was answered or why or any fansite articles bashing the process; it's been covered many times before.
But, at the core, I think we agree it's not working. While we could (and do) lament over the reasons why a scheduled Q&A based on question popularity doesn't sit well with people, the bottom line is it can't go on as it is.
We don't expect people will ever be completely happy with any Q&A. Regardless of how they're conducted we'll never get to every question, so there are always going to be complaints that we didn't answer the right ones. But Ask the Devs is different. While there are certainly arguments that answers didn't say the right things, or didn't give a firm answer on how a problem would be resolved, the process just doesn't work because of the format.
We've spent a lot of time discussing why it doesn't work, and while that's interesting to us, the bottom line is that once we've finished the role Q&A's with healers, we will be ending the Ask the Dev series.
Our goal with Ask the Devs was always to increase interaction with the developers, to provide a direct conduit to their thoughts and process. We're in the planning stages for a new Q&A process that will replace Ask the Devs, and while we're absolutely certain people will continue to be upset we didn't answer every question, we think it will overall be a far more successful approach.

i am shocked they are going to answer the DPS and then do a healer one
I would of hoped they would of just said "sorry we are not answering anymore" and took the flak from that rather than show us the next set of hilarious answers they have to questions they aren't even answering
i am still smacking my head over them saying that FERAL DRUID INNERVATE IS A FORM OF UTILITY ... yes that 5k mana is about.. what.. 2 - 4 big heals?

Here are the most common questions we think the community wants to know. And the question will be the most bland list of non-issues to discuss like rare pets and mounts.....

Wow they're indirectly blaming their customers again (and going farther to include the press this time). The hubris of these guys. It's eye opening.
Just take the criticism and work with it, Blizzard. Man the B-Team is so thin skinned it has passed the threshold of comedy and entered complete annoyance.
As a side note I decided to check out the Amazon reviews of Cataclysm. Lol. Anything two-stars-or-less are mostly spot on. Just go to the reviews > "most helpful" and scroll down a few to 'Va Gamer' review. I live in VA. I want to buy this guy a drink.

That's the problem right there. THAT is WHY it's NOT working. You are trying to use as a vehicle to convice the player base you're doing a good job instead of using as a tool to improve the game. You feel that if we understand the developers we'll agree with them. Instead of saying "What can we learn from the types of questions our players are asking?"

The sad part is, that this "attitude" from Blizzard is not new. It was there at Vanilla release. It was woven into the fabric of the game, and has been obvious through interviews and responses from various devs/reps throughout the lifetime of the game.
What's new is that a lot of the customers (those that didn't attrit from Kaplan's first "public" debacle, through the whole RealID fiasco), are now unhappy with Blizzard's latest serving of Play-The-Way-We-Want-You-To.
Those customer "complaints" don't really matter if the game is considered a (continuing) success.
From a corporate culture that seems to be (from behavioral observance over the years), sitting clearly in the "expressive" quadrant, it is not a surprise that their immediate response, when placed in a stressful or defensive situation, is to make personal attacks against others. Once again, sadly observed, to attack their customers.
It is what they have done in the past (see: Kaplan's attack on customer's not playing "his game" - e.g. raiding).
