Worth the read? Looking for something to sink my teeth into and have read many, many books in the fantasy genre (too many to list). Looking for your reviews/opinions. Thanks in advance.

I'm interesting in knowing this as well, saw it today at Barnes & Noble and it seemed interesting. Guess I'll download the sample to my nook. I've heard mixed reviews so never really got into it.

You say that, but I couldn't find it.

I will repeat my joke for posterity: There is something wrong with him if he is still an apprentice after ten plus books.

I just finished book six and I'm still enjoying them very much. The only thing that irks me is the cliffhangers at the end of some of the books.

Book 2 had a little bit of a cliffhanger and led into book 3. Book 3 ended abruptly and should have just been bound with book 4. Book 5 spent a lot of time building up a scenario just to stop suddenly with no real resolution to anything. Books 5 and 6 should have been bundled together. I can take cliffhangers, but these transitions aren't smooth. It just seems like he got tired of writing all of a sudden and said, "eh, I'll finish this later...send it to print."

And for Yoss, the giant grumpy bear...he's a full-fledged ranger after book 4. happy

I recently read the first two books in the series. I rather enjoy them, quick easy reads only about 220 pages or so. Well written story even though it is written for Young Adults, it still flows well and holds your attention easily, there is even quite a bit a humor.

Overall, seeing as how I've only read 2/10, I think they are worth a shot, the only problem in my opinion is $7.99 for about 220 pages seems ridiculous to me as it only lasts a few hours, but I digress.

I'm about 3/4 the way through book 2 and enjoying them so far. But I was thinking the same thing, $7.99 for a 200ish page book?

I'm about 1/2 way through the 10th and final (I guess) book. I've loved every one. Luckily my library had them so I didn't have to buy them.
