Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

Sorry to bring up an old subject, but I couldn't locate any recent threads regarding this. (all of the old threads were locked, also)
To get alinco to loot rare weapons/rare armor is it easiest to add each item on the trophy list?
I currently have crystal added to the trophies, and I've watched it loot a pearl, so I know vTank or alinco had that covered, but I was wondering about the weapons/armor that might actually drop for me. Would it be best for me to go through and add each name that I can find listed for the weapons and armor pieces?

The best solution is to stop using Alinco for looting, and to switch to VTank Classic Looter. Seriously.

Without using Alinco, does Vtank recognize them automatically, or is it just easier to configure Vtank to recognize them?
I was under the impression that Vtank is a far better looting utility, once you've spent the time to set it up properly.
That time part is something that has deterred me from it. I like being able to click and go and make changes to my looting on the fly. However, I have been considering spending a bit of time to try to make some classic loot profiles.

It's far easier to set up a rule in classic looter to loot rares. Virindi even has a sample rule (which works perfectly, by the way) on her site. There are also sample profiles, some of which are quite good. Spend a little time customizing one of those, and you're home.
I would never use Alinco for looting/salvaging ever again. VTank is that much better.
