Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

525 JC Recipes Worth the Mats?

My JC skilled up to 525. Before blowing the tokens on recipes and mats on items, I'm looking to see if the items are worth it. I run my toons pretty much solo PvE, don't raid but may start doing normal randoms now that all the alts are leveled.

* Check the Auction house, see what cuts sell.
* Whatever you start out with, do *not* dump dozens of them at the same time. I see some poor mook do that all the time, and then I cheerfully undercut his batch of 30+ --say-- Deadly Ember Topazes with three of my own. (And if I'm lucky, a couple of them will actually sell. The market pretty much is in the crapper right now)
* If not interested in the AH game, learn those BOP gems first that are the most important to you ... they only cost two tokens. In most cases it will be a Brilliant, Bold, Delicate or Solid Chimera's Eye.

Thx,
I should have phrased the question better, I was asking about the epic recipes for the blue rings and necklaces. They're better than what my toons are carrying but at 5 tokens, 4-5 stacks of elementium and 75 volatiles per item, I was wondering if the rings and necklaces were worth the investment.

The economy from server to server varies too much to give you a good response.
Check the AH on your server, and compare the base price of the mats for the items against what the crafted items actually sell for.

Nope. Well depends...if you can farm allt he mats for the rings and necks etc without buying them...but then you'd make jsut as muchs elling the mats as you would the item. I still thinking end level crafting is a joke atm aside from black smithing.

The blue quality items are absolutely worthless and not worth buying the recipes at all.

And more specifically...You won't find better without raiding. So if you want good solo gear, then yes. Atill using the tanking ring on my pally.

It is not worth it, as you can find comparable blue rings from dungeon and reputation vendor. Better to use the JC token to buy some gem cuts that your own characters and alts will use.
If you really need those rings to meet the ilvl requirement (such as ilvl329 to queue for heroic dungeon), you can always buy them from AH or other JCs.
You can work on the Therazan reputation, and get a decent ring at Revered.
