Did not see mini series but I loved the book followed by a close second with East of Eden by John Steinbeck another great book!

The mini-series was OK. But as in 99% of cases, the book is much better than the on-screen version.

I never could get into the book. The story and writing was amazing, but it was just so long winded and weighed down with every little detail that he could find about the period to give it authenticity that it bored me to tears.
