As good as it looks, the whole free to play concept bugs me out, because it usually means that you have to purchase items to be relevant, and I'm not thrilled with that concept. In terms of combat, it looks awesome, but I don't think there's much depth beyond that.
There was another game that I had come across when I was looking at these types of games, called Jumpgate Evolution. From reading about it, it was a 3 faction system, with RvR combat. A space DAoC if you will. But it was supposed to be released in 2010, and it's been dead quiet since, so I have a feeling that it has probably been put on hold, permanently
Let me know how the game is, I'm bored with most games these days!

I liked EVE just not the time sink to get to where you are capable of doing anything. My sister and I were awesome tackling Rifter's and as a duo we would get hired by others to do that and split the bounties or hostage fee's. We had a blast but it was just so long and boring.

I have mixed feelings of this game. I understand that this is a 'beta' and there are many bugs that will be fixed but the amount of bugs really pisses me off. For example:
After I complete a 'stage' it loops... I had to do the same stage 3 times.. log out... (thinking it would fix it) and log back in and do it again for it to 'fix itself' and allow me to progress.
As the above person stated... it's your typical "get on the guns and shoot" space warfare at the introduction... Then you get into a ship.. then fly.. then gun... etc.
Basically the BEST way I can sum this up for you is that "IF" you liked the Star Wars: Rebel Assault games.. then you would love this game.
The storyline is cool.... the intro tutorial is ok.. but way to long and repititious with no information on what to do... so I just sat there... ate my nuggets and occassionally fired a shot and somehow passed it. I'll let you know more as I continue.
I apologize.. I broke my toe... twice... and have been busy on Rift lately, plus trying to help my sister car shop.
