Sounds good to me... i find it a bit of a struggle to get honour nowadays anyway, given personnal time limitations and Q times also.
Plus, it is purely a grind for gear... I go in them to enjoy myself, why turn it into a grind to become competitive.
I like the system that resiliance gear is different to PVE gear and absolutely agree that you need to have a scale in PVE in order to progress in dungeons.
I don't think that it is needed at all in PVP though.

I assume that means conquest honor points as well so dailys will give you a whopping 50 instead of 25, yea that will speed things up.
Of course it will speed things up considerably for those that do Arenas and Rated's which in turn will make normal BG's populated by a majority of those that do neither even more of a mockery than they already are as those getting conquest gear start pouring in to them just to take advantage of their superior gear. They might as well change the name from battle gounds to bully grounds.
The also made AB a rated 10 man BG, make since, it is probably the most Horde dominated BG there is, bias runs deep in the Dev department.

umm.. because honor was hard to get? honor seemed easy enough to get as it is and once you have your gear you buy trade mats or something?

Normal BG's are made up of solo quers so the only way players will migrate to Rateds in mass is if they make Rateds solo queable.
About the only way to do that would be base it on resilience level like do gear level for Heroics, that would at least ensure players have played enough that they should know what they are doing and its well geared vs well geared.

It's not like honor is worth much, anyway. You'll still get romped by anyone wearing arena/rated BG gear. Arena gear should only be usable in arenas, imo. If the highest rated PVP gear you can get doing regular BGs is blues, then that should be the cap to what's allowed in the BG.

Nobody ever said it was hard to get. I said what I believed they were trying to accomplish. It really depends on your cluster. I know on mine the Alliance (my faction) seldom if ever wins, so the amount of time it takes to get 1 piece coupled with the fact you lose almost every match, perpetually, is a real kick in the balls to wanting to pug PVP.
INB4 Premade, yada yada yada. Don't give a shit, take it elsewhere. Casual change directed at casuals for the context of this conversation.

It is still a very necessary baseline. The difference from Arena gear to Honor gear is nowhere near as bad as the difference from Arena gear to Heroic gear. Keep that in mind.
