We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in lieu of that.

	by the time I quite playing my Prot Pally in WOTLK I was PUGing the first 6-8 bosses in ICC and would always do the weekly WG raids. I think part of the reason for getting stuck in was that they weren't a huge time investment to run nor gear up for. Part of this was due to the great gear you could initially buy with points... I managed to get full sets of the lower ranking gear and over time I slowing populated with 264 items through points and runs. I am still a ways off (as anyone who read my previous post will know), but can I PUG any of the current raids with the full Heroic gear set and a couple of purplies from rep rewards? What sort of time dedication is required to do a 10man run for first 2-3 bosses say? Which Raids should I be targetting first with either a Priest Healer or War Tank or potentially Fury War? -----signature----- Why use Ambush? 	The raid in Baradin Hold is dead easy, PUGs are doing it all the time. The first bosses in Blackwing Descent can definitely be done by a PUG. Bastion of Twilight is a bit more tricky because of the trash, but in 10 man it's way easier. Temple of the Wind can be tricky, but there's no trash, the first encounter should be doable and is quite fast to get to for a casual group. -----signature----- SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation). LOTRO: Lifetime account, playing very casually. WoW: Both accounts canceled for now. GW2: Future Warrior.

I think you've taken my words out of context... When I ran ICC PUG's would frequently run it for the first 6 bosses, the intention from the outset was the group would not be aiming to go past there and it was a bonus if we did! As should be obvious from my post... I have not even read about these raids let alone stepped into one yet! I was under the impression that Blizzard was aiming on designing the raids to be flexible and hence I presumed that there may be a similar process to ICC. I wouldn't have any intention of bailing on a group if I committed to a full run, unless it was a fail group. But as per my question, it would be good to understand what sort of timeframe I should allow to confortably run a group if I can get the gear to be able to... Thanks... am assuming from either a tanking/healing perspective, I would need at the very least to be in full heroic's/points items for BH and 1st boss BD? Sounds like you're inferring that I should get some raid drops or higher token drops before trying BoT or Temple of Wind. -----signature----- Why use Ambush? Sounds like you're inferring that I should get some raid drops or higher token drops before trying BoT or Temple of Wind. You definitely want to gear up through heroics (except for BH, in my opinion you can tank it as soon as you also tank heroics), but you don't really need much better gear to tank BoT or ToW, the encounters are just (arguably) slightly harder than the first BWD ones, and the trash in BoT needs practice. -----signature----- SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation). Well, you'll see by yourself once inside =) No I don't have any links. If you attend PUGs, someone will most likely already know too. They are more scary than difficult - once you got the trick, it's just like any trash pack that requires some crowd control. Once you killed the very first pack, just kill the closest side mobs (those in a circle around the "zap thing that hurts", get them when the two patrols are away) first, it makes things way easier. The trash before the council, which is way later inside of the instance, needs to be grabbed and tanked in pairs. - Fire with Frost - make the Frost one first pass into a fire patch to get rid of its shield, then kill the fire one while keeping on interrupting the frost one, then kill the frost one. - Air with Earth - either tank switch mid fight, or if the tank is tough enough, tank both, since they will stack a debuff on the tank that is canceled by the debuff of the other type of mob, so if you tank both they will cancel each other. -----signature----- SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation).
