Do you participate in Arenas? Why or why not? Do you 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5...or all of the above? Do you get really high ranking or do you stay middle of the road? Do you only play to get enough points for a few pieces of gear? Do you do Arenas with the same character all the time or do you switch around to whatever seems to be the most powerful after any given patch? Do you stick with the same spec or not?

I know arenas have their following somewhere but I'm not among them. *shudder* I don't particularly like PvP. Especially not as melee. I did Arenas in BC because it was the best pre-raid gear I could get as an lolRet. So I did my 10 games a week for points but that was it. Haven't touched them since.

They should just do dedicated arena servers where you transfer (or copy) your character too, use a preset set of gear for your class/spec and let people go at it.

I love PVP.
Pillar humping, however, is not PVP.. It is just pillar humping.
I never will understand why world PVP rewards players with nothing, and pillar humping rewards with the best gear possible.
I will also never understand why players on PVP realms are not rewarded for playing as such.
Add all of this up, and the Arena disgusts me. Not the actual fighting, but the mentality of the devs with he whole idea of it all, and the weight that arena is given in the "reward" sense of things.

Blizz copied alot of ideas from alot of games, yet they didn't copy any decent pvp concepts from the only game that was the most successful for its pvp. So of course they would have no knowledge on how to reward or create a competetive atmosphere(flame on ppl who actually paid for tourny). WoW is just a pve game to me.

I only play this game for PVP. I don't do raids or dungeons.
I arena in all 3 brackets on my Hpally although it has been pathetic since the nerfs to Hpallies/warlocks. The highest I have ever gotten was Rival and that was last season in 3's. I doubt I will ever see higher than that because I lack the skill :P
I also arena with my Priest, DK, Warlock (x2 one horde, one alliance) Another Hpally besides my main and...Boomkin. Gah, there might be more lol. I have quite a collection to get through each week. :P

I HATE doing arenas. I love pvp (yes I played DAoC), but it makes absolutely no sense that world pvp doesn't reward as arenas do....even on pvp servers. The arenas are the worst thing this game has to offer by a long shot and the recent "balancing" of classes makes it worse. I have done some arenas however (I have the 2h sword and chest) but, if there was any way to get the purple gear w/o the arenas, I'd drop arenas like a hooker with herpes.

Not a fan of arenas. I don't care if others enjoy it, but I don't understand why that style of play was considered the ultimate in WoW PVP for so many years. My cousin enjoys arenas, but he's more of a FPS type player than MMO. At least with a game like CounterStrike everyone starts out on a completely equal footing... the class and gear imbalances make arenas a joke.

PVP in a tiny, exploit-filled box? No thanks. The first few weeks I spent chasing sip-drinking people around pillars and other LOS-exploitable terrain "features" pretty much killed it for me. Queue-dodging and win-trading: the new e-Sport!

Love PvP.
Participate in Arenas.
Hate Arenas with a passion.
Did very well in the early seasons, haven't this season. Hunters are horribad in arena with Cata. 
PvP =/= One or two class comps always dominating. Pillar humping is  .
Battlegrounds should be the only PvP in the game and ranked should be available with a 5-man team.

Most of this.
Although I do enjoy arena on occasion it's not because of the PvP, it's the satisfaction I get from working well with my partner.

Balancing around Arenas are what is ruining some classes.
Arenas as a side distraction, some perks like titles etc.. fine. But the game should not be balanced around them and they should not offer superior gear to other forms of PVP.
