Just coming back to the game, and wondering where I can find a recent version of lifetank?
Seems the website is gone, and I'm unable to find any lists of working plugins that were updated in the last 2-3 years.

Lifetank X was taken over by a dev who released it as Lifetank Xi, but then was taken over again by the original dev and released under Lifetank X again.
It hasn't been updated in years.
Everyone now uses VirindiTank.

I still have LT working on my other PC, I just dont have the installer.

LTx is broken for many things.
The transition from LTx to vtank is confusing at first, but once you get used to it you'll realize how much better vtank is over LTx.
Everything in vtank is done very quickly and very smoothly. Everything done in LTx is very slow and feels forced.

Life tank has some significant advantages to VT still.
Sound on rares.
Envoy Alert.
Picking up ground items (at least i recall that).
Note this isn't to say that Vtank isn't the best option. It is just to say that not all the feature of LTX are in Vtank

sound on rares - AC does that already no need to duplicate.
envoy alert - it is a cheat, pure and simple!
pickup from ground - if you at the keyboard 'monitoring' what is going on this isnt a problem. of course while you are sleeping, or otherwise off doing other things it is again more of a cheat!

If you're thinking about ptank, I'd stay as far away from that as possible. The guy that put it out stole the code from lifetank (and several other plugins) put his malicious code in it, and re-branded them as his own creations.

I don't think anyone's ever actually proven these accusations. That said, Portal's blatant ripoff and rename scheme is scummy.
I'm tempted to add them to killbit but it is rather easy to get around.

That's the one I was thinking of but thanks, I guess I won't try it. LTX is still doing the job for me, but I will check out Vtank eventually.
