Subject: I've cancelled WoW!
OMG! The world just ended. For the first time For the first time since Launch, I have actually canceled both my World of Warcraft accounts, which clearly means I need to make the obligatory post here on the forum wink This will be the 4th long term break I have taken from WOW, which usually lasts from anywhere from 6 to 12 months but in the past, I never actually canceled my accounts. Truth is, I have only logged in a few times in the last month so the time is here.

The bottom line is this:
I am thoroughly sick of World of Warcraft. I want to puke when I log in. This is a phenomenon that hits me about 4-6 months after the first 2 expansion packs, though this time it hit me about 6 weeks after Catacylsm. The span of time that I last has gotten progressively shorter with each new expansion pack, though Patch 3.3 (when they added the new instances) kept me going for almost a year, mostly because I actually enjoyed dungeon grinding for loot, something I detest with a passion now.

With that all being said, I still love the game. It is still the best MMO out there in my opinion. The problem is simply that I have played it for far too long and need a nice, long break from the game, one that will probably take me until 2012 unless some awesome new content patch comes out in the future, but I doubt that as I no longer care to raid or waste my time dungeon grinding for whatever meaningless piece of loot I will get that will eventually get traded in for another meaningless piece of loot.

I am not quitting for Rift either. Rift, as good as it is, is very derivative to me, so while I will probably end up buying it (I have not yet), I know that at most, it is a game that will keep me interested for about 2-3 months before I get bored of that too.

I've been playing MMO's since they originally hit the internet back in the early 1990 and I am getting totally sick of the genre and I need something new, not new textures or a new world or thousands of "new" quests that have us doing the same old useless thing but something actually NEW. You know, like a MMOFPS or something.

My advice to Blizzard?
Try adding a NEW dynamic to the game, something that we don't currently have in WoW, something that is fresh and fun and creative, not just the same old thing dressed with new clothes. What is this? I have no idea, but you guys supposedly have lots of brilliant, creative people playing. Surprise me.

Thanks for all the excellent years of fun, I will be back eventually.

One drop of the steadily increasing flood. Most RPG gamers beat you to the punch when it became clear WoW wasn't being developed by RPGers anymore.

Yeah, I'm getting to that point too. It's starting to feel "more of the same", and I wish they would introduce something new that would make the game more interesting overall. I came up with a suggestion a while back (phasing zones that have high level mobs attacking it and players take a quest to go there and stop it), but it was met with mixed reviews, and I doubt Blizzard would do it anyway.

Now that I got all my toons to at least 70, I may take another break, as WoW consumes way too much of my free time and doesn't feel very fun anymore, particularly with all these nerfs and lack of fixes to make CC sort of viable in PvE.

Cancelled my 4 the other day... most of them run through the end of February. I'll probably be on this weekend to tank for my guild. Already cleaned up mail, banks etc. Haven't bothered to log other than that for almost 3 weeks.

This will be my 4th break since WoW beta. I'm also usually back in 3-6 months. Guild will be following with their cancellations next month.

I'm not going to say I'm never coming back. I will check the forums to see what the latest is. There are parts of the game I still love.

And a lot of recent unspoken covenants I think (whatever development staff they now have at) Blizzard has broken. I've never felt that way before. So the break just might stick this time. Who knows.

Happy gaming to those still here!

Hope whoever else is leaving, has left, is thinking about leaving finds the fun they're looking for!

happy

And Mithan: hugs and good luck in whatever you do next.

I've cancelled. Just using up the last month of the 3 I paid for. Top reasons in brief;

Same sh*t different continents. Cat wasn't as nearly new and different imo as they hyped it to be.
Everything's just feeling like more and more of a grind then ever. Gear, crafting (ugh), you name it.
PvP -- crowd control overkill; let the players play, not stare at their screens stunned, mezzed, sheeped, frozen, whatever.
PvP -- Blizz's inability to address afkers/botters/auto-followers. You won't ban them, so I'm done.
The 'community'. More raging smacktards and a*shats than ever, people are just being d*cks to each other constantly. I miss the days when mmos were populated by real gamers, unabashed geeks, D&D fans, RPGers. Now it's just myspace with dwarves.

That fact Rift is coming made the decision easier, GW2 is on the horizon, plus there's other good non-mmos I'm wanting to play.

Same here as much as I like playing WoW I also think it's one of the best games out but you have to have good people to play with when none of my friends are left playing and half of the old timers on the server are gone then it's time to say good bye. The same thing happened in Daoc for me. The people on my server are what made the game good as soon as most of them were gone it was time to go.

I had to take a break 1 week into Cataclysm due to personal reasons, but when it came time to return a week later, I really didn't want to, so I didn't.

It wasn't fair to my guild anyways to pop in and out on my own whims; it is not responsible as a leader, and it has been a long time since I've been that. As such, Ayla has been handed the reigns, something she really has had for many months already.

I'm not done with WoW, I'm sure, but I really need more than the usual break between expansions.

I Quit after 1 month of Cata, I felt the game was playing me rather me playing a game.

-Log in do daily proffesion quests
-Do 1 heroic
-Try find certain classes for areana ( lock/DK )

Blizzard has lost the plot, their games use to be fun, now they are just about making money, keep you grinding aslong as possible while their cash tills ching.

Yep, I'm not logging in any more either. I've played since open beta with just a few breaks. After much anticipation, Cata has just not been that exciting. I did enjoy the new content for a few weeks, but formula is just pretty much the same stuff with new dressing.

The new zones are fine (a little too linear), but 80-85 is pretty quick and feels way less compared to say what Outland and Northrend were. It feels like half the number of dungeons, half as much content, half as many levels, no new classes, no new professions (except archaeology -- what a joke). The new races' starter content takes you half as far as Belf/Draenei with half the effort. New battlegrounds? Yeah right WSG 2.0 and AB 2.0 but smaller. Don't get me started on TB. Then there are standing problems that they have done nothing innovative to solve. Nothing innovative to help DPS queues -- (no queueing from other toons or making it possible to PVP or do something else productive during that time).

They phoned it in.

On top of not being innovative, I see Blizzard doing more and more for merely profit alone;. First it was race changes, authenticators, then race changes on new races on day 1. Some even speculate they have been strategically nerfing and un-nerfing races to get people to keep switching. My guess is Activision. Oh well...I'd love to see them turn things around, but it doesn't seem likely.

I'm checking out Aion 2.1 (haven't played since 1.9) until Rift starts. Frankly, I like some things about Rift, and I expect it to hold me a few months--beyond that I don't know. The "end game" is still a mystery. Like Mithan, I really would like something new, and I really don't know what that is.

Good luck to Mithan and everybody else.

Was that since the beginning or since Activision popped up ;D? tongue

Frankly the mold is breaking at this point. You can only pour in so much stuff until the mold needs to be replaced. Activision has removed any notion of innovation from its products and is purely attempting to iterate on things they know work. Unfortunately, this is starting to bite them in the ass. Guitar Hero was the first victim of their shortsighted nature.

I have until April then my sub is up. I dont think I will log in again though. I popped in on my Sub Rogue right after the lastest patch to check DPS for about 15 minutes and the was about it. Like everyone else, Im bored with the game, how linear and unimaginative it has become. I will throw in, I think GC and his vision wasnt a good fit for the continuing future of the game.

Ill definitely continue to post on this board in the future but not as a current WoW player.

Same for my wife and I, we still love the game, but we just don't love playing it, if that makes any sense. I think the problem for us is they made the leveling so short there just wasn't a sense of accomplishment, and gear doesn't really do that for us, we would rather level then be at max level grinding for gear, rep, and gold.

Beside WoW/Rift, I also play this:
http://www.testdriveunlimited2.com/

It's a "MMOR" (Racing Game). You have a huge world to explore (the whole island of Ibiza), and the game is quite sandboxish, you can basically do whatever you want beside participating championships. There's even a Casino on the island.

It's a fun digression from the usual MMORPGs and the gameplay is of course totally different.

To the opposite of you and the Kindergarten Club, Mithan doesn't post useless crap and insults, but gives a constructive argumentation of why he made that decision. He's also not there just saying "zomg wow sucks" and whining about everything the developers do. That's the difference between him (and a few other "honorable" posters who stayed despite the ambient trolling) and the troll club. And you just gave another example of that with that useless bait post of yours, by the way. And I would bet real money that your next post in this thread will illustrate it even more.

I've canceled my account as well and letting it run out. Don't know if I'll be back.

I've done pretty much all there is to do. My DK is fully heroic geared, so I've already run the few heroics that exist enough times that I don't want to see them any more.

Done Baradin Hold a few times and remembered that raids, no matter how short, are just not fun and never will be.

PVP queues have gotten even longer.

Just nothing left to do and there is nothing "new" at all in this supposed "expansion" pack.

The game wasn't expanded, it was recycled.

Pretty much the only mini game that interests me these days is playing the AH. I spend about an hour to do the crafter dailies on several characters, restock on crafting materials (overstock if I find good bargains) and replenish my AH mules with crafted stuff and then list them.

It's a pretty set routine.

I have a particular number in mind, that I want to reach before Rift comes out. Other than that, I am catching up on Deadwood, The Tudors and Boardwalk Empire.

This time it's worse though. Outland and Northrend had a vast, new feel to them that kept you entertained for a while, but the few new zones we were given this time are scattered and feel gimmicky (not to mention linear. Whoever came up with that idea, needs to be dickpunched).

I keep hoping WoW will keep me occupied until Diablo III comes out. I am starting to doubt that. Now and then I look at my level 62 warrior and think, Hmm, maybe I should spend time getting him leveled up since rogue and warrior are only classes I don't have at max.

Then reality sets in and I realize that it would still be the same ole same once he got there.

One thing I would say, WoW certainly has given a lot of fun over the years. Not many of my favorite games, like RTS or turn-based strategy, last more than a few months of solid play.

WoW, and DAOC before it, have provided a lot of entertainment value.

I am feeling the same way. I just (barely) got geared up for Heroics a few weeks ago and was looking forward to doing some more raiding and not having to deal with queues as much. I must say I am a bit burned out too by the long queues. I buy game cards so I can control my spending better, and looks like when the next game card runs out, that is it for me.

Rift should keep me occupied for 3 or 4 months. Although quests are fairly dry, I love the invasaion, rifts etc. that open up across the world. It makes PvE a bit more exciting and tends to break the monotony of the grind.

Here are some of my other thoughts on Cataclysm:

- 80 - 85 went way too fast. I hit 85 without doing one quest in Hyjal. I feel there was enough content in the game to push level cap a bit higher. Maybe one more zone would have been enough to push level caps up.

- I loved the challenge of Heroics, however it became extremely frustrating seeing gear drop that I could not use over and over again. (I think I have killed Anhuur around 8 times now, and still have not seen his book drop.) The long queue times just exacerbated this problem. Waiting 40 minutes and then runnning 1 heroic over two hours meant a 3 hour time committment. Loot tables should be adjusted so that something DPS can use is guaranteed to drop...at least once, throughout the dungeon.

- 6 years of WoW and they have added....1 class to the game?

- Very little variety with regards to classes, specifications and gear. I know this would be a bit** to balance, and create content around, but give us some more flexibility to make more customized character specifications.

WoW is still a great game, but it is starting to show its age with regards to gameplay mechanics. More of the same, no matter how polished, just gets boring that much faster.

I have logged in once in the past week just to check on administrative stuff. There is a combo of RL being exciting atm and the fantasy MMO being over played too much for me. I am ready for a great sci-fi MMO to suck me in. If I play one more MMO w/ an elf/dwarf I may puke on my keyboard. I wouldn't say Cata was a mess at all. It is actually very well done. It just doesn't do anything to advance the game, its more of the same. When you are just tired of WOW and its style, the expansion didn't do anything to alleviate that. I will be playing Rift. But I am in the same boat as Mithan. The game plays exactly like WoW, just has a different face. I can see myself being totally bored with it in 6 months.

I should probably stick to console games.

That can be said for every xpac released for WoW, the exp counter was just reset.

I have tried every main stream MMO and I have tried the little ones. I have yet to see one that totally redefined itself in a good way with an expansion pack.

So this is your fixed reply

Guess I will go ahead and admit I stopped my subscriptions as well, both expire in the first few days of March. Till then I am just playing my sub 60 warrior and enjoying the part of the game I enjoy most. There is just so many times you can continue to do that before you realize your just going through the motions.

Cataclysm killed the game for me, it removed all enjoyment from my favorite characters which were healers and tanks. I really dislike their changing the game mechanics simply so they could make their Arena Tournaments viable. To do meant turning the game we all played upside down. They tried to hide behind this idea of "challenge" but that fell flat on its face because they don't understand the challenge many wanted. They caved into the e-peen crowd to the point they alienated their core.

Players play WOW to have fun. What constitutes fun is different for each player yet simply by listening to my guild, seeing why others left, it became obvious that the development team does not understand. Yeah we want challenges, but wrecking the PvE game too support Arena play is not the way to do it. Note, I did not say they ruined PvE at the expense of PvP - they ruined at the expense of Arenas. There is a big difference between the two.

lol

you obviously didn't read in " in a good way part".

People here seem to expect that expansions are doing to redefine the game. Any expansion that does that probably means the game itself was a failure and now the devs are scrambling to fix ( see SWG and their game changing crap).

Wow is just old and it is showing its age. No matter what any crackerhead here says, WoW blew the genre completely open. Before WoW we had the big 4 and a total NA playerbase of approx 500K. WoW showed venture capitalists that money could be made in an MMO. Since then the flood gates have opened. A great many failures and some little gem's in the rough.

I am sure Blizzard knows that the cash cow days are winding down. They are going to milk it for all its worth and then move on. WoW paid for itself many times over already. Every single person here that rails on it now did at one time have fun. They are tired of WoW and now its time to move on.

Mine goes through April and I am going to cancel mine not because I am board it is just for the first time in any game that I am miserable playing a game that I love to play.

Heroics are a nightmare not because of the difficulty or the fail & bails but because of all the whining, blaming, name calling, eliteist you suck and I don't, bowing to the tank/healers whims or they will leave, etc... BS

Or waiting 40 mins to get in one only to have the tank at the start say this group is not good enough for me I am out or looks like too many here are going to roll on the orbs so I am not going to waste my time and leave.

Trying to do the dailies in Tol Barad is mess with people fighting over quest items, kills, like seeing you are heading one and use a speed burst to beat you to it or they will be killing one thing see you are headed for another and range tag it so you can't and they can etc...

To make matters worse since the Tol Barad change it is virtually impossible to defend it, and on my PVE server the Horde owned it near 24/7 thus are not happy. So in an act of revenge when Ali gets control the Horde go in to whatever underground area we have quests for, wait until we are killing something and kill us usually stealthed. If we are not flagged they will get close to you while killing something and if you use any kind of AoE you will get flagged and be killed by them etc... This can make quest completion a long process at times.

Trying to do the random be daily on Ali can take me anywhere from 5-to as many as 18 rounds to win thus a sure sign PVP is getting progressively worse.

The kicker is Wow has an anal development team that I am convinced could fix most everything overnight if they wanted to but instead of developing for the betterment of the game or the player they are developing for job security. It’s working too, for example; even after this last patch the DPS difference between DPS classes is disparaging at best, not to mention between specs thus going to need a lot more work.

The fact is the overall climate in WoW as well the direction is heading just flat out sucks.

Well let's see.....
I'm almost done with twlight highlands...on to Uldum! Now that they've made it so I can DF any of the dungeons without having to actually have gone to the entrance Sat urday will be fun.

So far I've cleared 3 normal dungeons, SC, BRC, and GB.

Working on some dailies achieves through deepholm. Tol Barad dailies. Trying to get First-aid and Arch to 525. And when I'm 'done' with my main, I can start working on my next toon.

Ferry, Cataclysm was all about making their Arena Tournaments viable instead of being the burst joke fest they were before.

The huge health pools are there to mitigate burst being so overpowering in Arena

They spread abilities in an attempt to diversify classes in Arena (like blood lust) and who can cleanse what

They then nerfed healing to 25% of its former efficiency to prevent that from dragging Arena games out nearly indefinitely because of the new large health pools

There are many more changes but they point one way : their e-peen game is more important to them than us

Frankly the mold is breaking at this point. You can only pour in so much stuff until the mold needs to be replaced. Guitar Hero was the first victim of their shortsighted nature.

I think this is the best metaphor.

The thing is ... and it happens over time as the burnout lessens ... you have to remember the good parts. It's fair to bash WoW, Blizzard and Activision, but there were a lot of good times mixed in there too.

For example, despite the suck that was farming fire resistance gear, one of my fondest memories was when my old guild took down rag the first time. Other things that stick out as being awesome were Dire Maul, Tempest Keep (5-mans) and Karazhan. As you can see however, there's not really a whole lot recently that was epic or even very good.

In any event, good hunting Mith with whatever internet dragons you decided to go kill next.

And why is that? I would argue that Dire Maul was the best instance in the game and Karazhan was the best raid instance. Dire Maul was non-linear, had triggered events (king tribute, releasing of the old tree), class quests, an arena with rare spawns and loots, epic drops, class rewards, a vendor (what other instance has a vendor?!) great artwork and music. I think the original Deadmines might be 2nd on my list.

In terms of the game: I quit in July from the official servers. Looking forward to what Blizzard has coming in 2012!

An interesting thread from a few months back.

http://vnboards.ign.com/world_of_warcraft_general_board/b19789/113224088/

WoW still needs the third option in there someplace, outside of Heroics/Raids and PVP.

It also isn't good to go ahead and have one design leader in the previous expansion and design that expansion to make content accessible to the masses, Kapalan. Then you have the new design team who wishes to flex their epeen apparently and show that that they can go ahead make difficult content, Ghostcrawler and company.

In the end all that happens is a frustrated player base who isn't having fun with out a third option in place and design policy change under the new regime.

My sub ends sometime in March and won't be resubbing either. Main reason I resubbed was having good time with friends I've made in my play time during the years. Also just don't have the time due to taking classes.

BTW Mithan, have you read Towers yet, or are you still doing your epic Reread of Jordan?

I've always played in bursts myself. My longest stint was probably launch, about 8 solid months (probably less but it felt that long). After that I came back for the expansions for several months at a time. I did go about 4 months when TBC came out, though, probably because I was in a good raiding guild with many RL friends at the time.

My last stint was probably my last though. I only have a few RL friends, Internet acquaintances, or long-time on-line friends that still play it. My last guild of I guess about 200 is also pretty much gone now - either waiting on other games or just done with the genre.

Still, a testament to its longevity - most MMOs only have such heavy activity for a quarter and maybe again when a huge expansion launches. WoW is like Pokemon: seems tired to the rest of us, but there's always a new generation coming in experiencing it all for the first time.

I just came back for Cataclysm and I'm having an absolute blast again.

I played steadily when WoW first came out, I was a day one hour one member of Argent Dawn server and played for 3.5 years. When LOTRO came out in 2007 I had tried it out in beta but didn't like it so stay in WoW. Then in November, after they had made some serious improvements, I tried it out again and decided to go there. Been there for 3.5 years and have a lifetime subscription so I'll always play that game since I only have to pay for expansions.

I had come back to WoW for WOTLK but didn't have much fun, none of my old friends played anymore and Argent Dawn as a community was very disjointed so I quit after three months. Got Cataclysm shortly after it was released and with all the additions to the game and the changes, at least for me it's a whole lot of fun again.

I'm sure I'll tire of it and close my accounts again while I wait for Blizzard to come up with something new....but for now I'm playing. happy

Reassuring to see how not alone I am with Cataclysm. I started WoW 11/04, with hardly a break longer than a month or two since. I had almost cancelled last November, thinking that nothing in Cata was likely to be very different from the current game. However, I decided to give it a try.

As previous posters have stated, it's a good expansion in general, and WoW is still a great game. But with each expansion/ major patch negating all the effort made for gear, and the Dungeon Finder reducing the desire for guild runs, it's just gotten lonely and repetitive. I cancelled a few weeks ago, though my account doesn't expire until June.

The levelling is way too quick now. My first 60 took 16 days /played. My Goblin just hit 60 with under 2 days /played. There is no satisfaction with hitting 85, since it takes no real effort, and the amount of 85 alts means I could never hope to gear them all up. Even worse, 80-85 is completely linear, other than the choice of 2 80 zones.

I'm not excited about Rift, it seems like more of the same. I played some SW:TOR in beta and I think that may be the way to go, whenever it's finally released.

I'm interested in it for two reasons (and a third I can't talk about here for now):
1) It's Bioware. The only company I see really able to rival Blizzard on the actual market.
2) It's Sci-Fi. A big breath of fresh air. No fairies, pixies, trolls, orcs, gnomes, dwarves. Spaceships as housing, travel to different planets, laser beams, lightsabers, aliens, "Boba Fett wannabe" bounty hunters. Yay, please give me some more, I'm sick of medieval/heroic fantasy games.

It most certainly will anyway. To which extend will be decided by both how good Trion are gonna be in the near future, and how good SW:TOR will be at release. I already have the answer to one of those points, but it's the third reason I can't talk about yet wink

?Star Wars: The Old Republic is expected to launch this year after the close of EA's fiscal 2011 (which ends March 31st, 2011). Information on the release date and pre-order programs will be released as it becomes available.
This is good news for bored people, but bad ones for Rift... apparently, SW:TOR will release just after the first free month included with the game purchase. Smart move, if you ask me.

Bioware's lost their way imo, esp after the gawd awful decision to get in bed with EA, destroyer of game studios. Bioware is no longer the RPG gurus they used to be (Baldur's / NWN), now they just want to crank our console games, and ugh, PC console ports. And they completely abandoned the modding community (no editor for DA 2? Kiss my arse)

I've grown to hate all things Star Wars anyway, Lucas ruined it for me long ago, with his constant repackaging, re-releasing, re-editing (Han shot first, period), rehashing, and then there was the travesty of those second group of movies, killed it for me. Jar Jar should have never seen the light of day. SW to me is just a bad sci-fi joke now.

Although I think the point has long since been made.

I wish SW or whatever it is the best of luck. I watched the originals at the theaters when they first released and thought they were funny campy flashbacks of the old Saturday Morning Westerns the kids used to watch in black and white (which I've also seen.) Which I believe was Lucas's intent. Seeing them turned into a cult or whatever just cracks me up.

Whatever works.

There's enough market share to go around, thanks to WoW growing the genre. Ironic huh.

There was another thread on the release date of SWTOR.

They said after their fiscal year or whatever, the date was March 31, 2011. They didn't specify how soon after. It could be released 12/27/11 for all we know. The latest rumor is September, so I don't think it will clash with Rift's early March release and free month.

I think Rift is a good game as well, but it's linear and too similar to WoW for my tastes. I have enjoyed the beta weekends and banging on the servers for Trion, but I'm most likely going to skip it.

Fixed that for ya wink

I tried to tell people during warhammer beta it was a waste of money, but then, i was blasted as a WoW fanboi (LOL).

2 things about sw:tor that make me 100% not even remotely interested in it:

1) syfy - can't do it, i don't want pew pew lazers and bleepbleep robots, personal preference, I know the "medieval" setting is out done, but it's what i really love
2) 100% voice acting, so they spent who knows how much money and how many hours recording conversations for the same quests that no one reads anyway? *yawn* boring

*Ok, keeping it positive*

I quit as well about two weeks after Cata hit. I had a ton of fun in this game for a long time. But I don't much care for the direction the devs took. No biggy. WoW is still awesome for some people that still like it and it won't die or anything anytime soon. Good luck to all those that are still playing and have fun. It just isn't for me anymore which saddens me but other games are on the horizon and my new job has me super-busy traveling all over anyway.

- 80 - 85 went way too fast. I hit 85 without doing one quest in Hyjal. I feel there was enough content in the game to push level cap a bit higher. Maybe one more zone would have been enough to push level caps up.

I have said this after every expansion. Making leveling so easy has really removed any sense of accomplishment that comes with leveling. Outland and Northrend have tons of content. There was no reason not to stretch those zones out to 20 levels each. Cataclysm could have been 20 as well if they hadn't been so, for lack of a better term, lazy.

RyanR100 posted:
- I loved the challenge of Heroics, however it became extremely frustrating seeing gear drop that I could not use over and over again. (I think I have killed Anhuur around 8 times now, and still have not seen his book drop.) The long queue times just exacerbated this problem. Waiting 40 minutes and then runnning 1 heroic over two hours meant a 3 hour time committment. Loot tables should be adjusted so that something DPS can use is guaranteed to drop...at least once, throughout the dungeon.

The fact that people are already maxed out in Heroics 2 months after the expansion released further illustrates my previous point, and yours.

RyanR100 posted:

- 6 years of WoW and they have added....1 class to the game?

No excuse for this.

RyanR100 posted:

- Very little variety with regards to classes, specifications and gear. I know this would be a bit** to balance, and create content around, but give us some more flexibility to make more customized character specifications.

They have tried (somewhat) to correct this...implementation has simply been lackluster.

RyanR100 posted:

WoW is still a great game, but it is starting to show its age with regards to gameplay mechanics. More of the same, no matter how polished, just gets boring that much faster.

Haven't ccancelled yet, but I have one foot out the door. I recently came back after skipping WotLK, burned through all the content on my main, and really don't have the desire to level an alt Through Northrend and Cata content. I've been doing PvP primarily, something I was never interested in before, and it held my interest for a bit, but how long can you do BG's and *gag* Arenas? Not long for me. I'm off to Rift, leaving the WoW account open for now, but........

Just started up with a new guild. And no one in this guild seems ready to through in th etowel just yet, far from it.

Saturday we did a Naxx. I got my 'Cahmpion of the Frozen Waste' title. Then went to ICC. We got to the second tier and I made friendly with The Ashen Verdict.

As a Bonus on Sunday we ran OS3D and I got my 'Twilight' title.

So as for quitting? Faaaaar from it.

Still have to run more regular Catas this weekend and back to OS3D so see if I win the Black Drake.

Have to see if we'll do Onyxia sometime. thinking

lol The_Korrigan basically just admitted to being in beta loving it and sees the game will be a big hit when it goes live (read between the lines) other whys he would not be interested in it still after all if the beta sucked and it was all doom he would pass on it or not even talk about happy

Personal i belive the game wont be out till later in the year that post just says AFTER x date not in that month.

I agree, I became bored with this expansion much faster than the last two. I feel like I am always shoehorned into a play style that does not suit my tastes. This time it is just a bit worse and I feel I have less stuff to do.

I doubt RIFT will keep me busy for long MMO wise. Thankfully there is a healthy number of single player titles coming that I wish to experience. Followed later by a few more MMOs I wish to play.
