I just tested 15 minutes sustained DPS on an 85 target dummy with my Sub Rogue. DPS was around 5-6K pre patch, now its around 7K. Assassination still wins with 8-8.5K dps in PvE.

An improvement, for sure but Im not sure it would really tip the scales in favor of bringing a Sub rogue along in a group. Especially with how Sub rogue rotations are.

Granted this is just a simple 15 minute test and all, but in the past, my experiences with PvE raiding DPS and stationary target DPS is roughly the same.

Still not good considering mages are doing 10-15k without breaking a sweat but better than Ret pallys whom apparently still can't break 7K

MM hunter doing 12-15k on dummies now too. 3k dps over my survival spec now. MM is the sweet spot again.

Don't sub rogues rely heavily on extra combo points from being grouped with people?

Also, this might've been as much about a pvp buff as anything. I stopped playing my sub rogue shortly after getting him to 85 when I felt like I was trying to kill healers with wet tissue paper. I think I saw a backstab hit a shaman healer for 2k and I just call it quits after that =)
