So here we are at the end of the season, which means it is now time for me to start looking ahead to the next season. This is your chance to give me your opinion on the league and what changes you think should be implemented for the next season.

A few things I want an opinion from everyone on:
1) Do you want to expand the playoffs to five teams? Or keep it as is with four teams? Or possibly go with six teams (I don't like sending half the league to the playoffs personally, but if this is what the consensus wants it is an option.)
2) Would you be in favor of expanding the league to 14 teams? If so would you also be in favor of expanding to six playoff teams?
3) Scoring; is it too low, and what should be changed to make it more balanced. I am planning to doing something to make the quarterbacks more balanced with the rest of the players.
4) Points Per Reception, yes or no? And how many points per reception, .25? .5? .66? 1?
5) If we do expand the playoffs by a round, do you want to eliminate a week in the regular season, or play until week 17 in the NFL? Note: If the NFL goes to a 18 game schedule this will become a moot point.
6) Who would be in favor of pitching in 5 dollars so we can get a GOOD trophy for the winner of the league? I bought trophies for the top three one season, but that is just too expensive, so the new option is having everyone pitch in like five dollars and we will buy the league champion a trophy with that money. Possibly we could do this once, and just pass the trophy around season to season, or maybe do a plaque and add the winning team on to it year after year. I desperately want to do something for the winner of the league, if this idea does not sound good to you, then toss one out.
7) Do you want to make the league an entirely CB Sports only league. I believe there is two members in the league that do not use the VN boards to my knowledge. It has been brought up that we should make this a CB Sports only league again, so leave you opinion on this matter as well.
8) Any thing else that might make this a better and more competitive league going forward? Any other thoughts or feeling on the league or how it is being run? I am an adult I can take any critism constructively, so please do leave you honest opinion on the league and most importantly me as I am the commish. If you do not want to post this here, then feel free to PM it to me.

EDIT: Also I might be in Italy next fall, so I may not be able to run the league fully next season. So let me know if you would be interested in being the Vice Commissioner next season if I do end up going to Italy in the fall. It may not be until spring when I go to Italy, it is still completely up in the air at this point, but just in case let me know.

Also if you are not in the league and would be interested in joining for next season you can send me a PM and I will put you on a waiting list. Currently I have one person on the waiting list. This is a waiting list so there is no guarentee that you will get into the league, as current members always have the option of coming back for the next season.

im always willing to pitch in money for a trophy, but since this is a on-line league you might run into problems with transportation of the trophy from winner to winner. not sure what other option would work. being in other leagues, the trophy is the highlight of those leagues and gives a bigger purpose on winning the league.

i would be against any expansion to 14 teams...12 imo is enough, but i am also the noob of the league this year. i just think the league would be highly watered down.

i had no problem with the pts this year. but always open to others suggestions.

regarding VN only...not a huge deal to me. but i did not like knowing who i played. i mean we all have our names on the forums, but the differed in the league. be kinda nice to know who i was putting a beat down on..ya know.

This was only my second time playing FF and it was enjoyable.

I did not like the defensive players. It seemed like just another kicker/defense where I could pretty much just pick up someone each week. And their scoring didn't seem to matter much - except the one week I had that GB guy score 16 on me. I didn't mind them, but didn't get what they added to the FF experience for me I guess.

Scoring was low - but as long as its consistent you just get used to whatever scoring system.

QBs were definite point machines, but I don't think they were over scoring compared to other positions. Most of the time QBs scored 15 points or so - the better ones scored more but that is drafting strategy really. The only thing I could think of would be to drop throwing TDs down to less points but again, I really don't see all that much problem with QB scoring now.

I would prefer VN board only players - but only so I can message for trades easier! happy Thanks for Tom Brady - How's Kyle Orton working out for ya? happy

I wouldn't mind chipping in a few bucks for a trophy either. But then again, I don't mind if there is no trophy either.

I don't think that I'd change much about the league. 4 teams in the playoffs and the current format is just fine. Scoring seems fine to me. Points per reception wouldn't bother me as long as it's a low number (.25 or .5).

I don't know that we need a trophy for the winner. It's pretty much a faceless internet league. (I don't know if any of you guys know each other personally). A trophy is something to shove in the face of the buddy you just destroyed. happy It's not as much fun over the internet.

I didn't mind fielding defensive players, but I wouldn't be sad if they were taken away. Then again, I wouldn't be sad if kickers and tight ends were taken away. I never end up with a good one. happy Heck, usually my defensive players outscored my kicker and TE.

As far as non-VN players goes - open the league to VN players first, then fill in with buddies if we need the extra people.

Please, please, please do not expand to 14 teams. Even with 12 teams, by the end of the draft, you're picking guys you've never heard of. When you try to pick up a player from the waiver wire, the best option available is Cleveland's 4th string WR. We don't need 2 more teams thinning out the pool of good players.

The biggest issue I have with scoring is this: If you go to the free agent screen, select it to show all players, not just available players, and then order them in order from top to bottom in points scored this season, the entire front page minus 3 RB's at the very bottom are Quarterbacks. Something is wrong when you have a quarterbacks like Matt Cassel, David Garrard, Donovan McNabb, and other out scoring every other offensive player. So I guess the biggest question is, should I bring quarterbacks down to everyone elses level, or should I bring every one else up to quarterbacks level? Ideally you would like a nice mix on the front page, some quarterbacks, some WR's and some RB's. Or we can leave it as is and that will just be the identity of the league, some leagues RB's are the most important postion, others specifically PPR leagues, WR's are the most important, ours could be a QB league. It will require a completely new drafting strategy.

I don't have a problem with QBs scoring more than the others. The QB handles the ball every snap. They're going to rack up more yardage than any other team member.

This year, RBs didn't dominate the NFL like in the past seasons. Chris Johnson and Adrian Peterson weren't putting up the big numbers like they've done in the last few years. Teams are pass-happy this year and QBs are putting up a ton of points. WRs don't compete because the passes are spread around so much. I don't think our scoring system is off, I just think that's the way the league's been this year.

That said...if you want to make a change, go for it. I'm very laid-back when it comes to this stuff. I'm not gonna get mad if you make some adjustments.

If you want to even things out make the league 1 point per reception, the scoring breakdown goes from 21 QBs and 4 RBs in the top 25 to 11 QBs, 6 RBs and 8 WRs.
