Subject: Did Hunters get a boost with Cata's release?
I ask because I got to play for a couple hours last night (leveled from 80 to 81) and it felt like the mobs with 30k health were dying basically as fast as the mobs with 12k health were dying before cata talents were released.

Maybe just not playing for 2 weeks skewed my perception of things but it felt like my Chimera shot and Wild Quiver shots were practically auto crits and critting for more than ever - of course that's anecdotal because I don't have any data and I'm not about to weed through the terabytes of other whine threads to try to find out what (if anything) is going on.

Oh and I ended WOTLK with a decent gearscore of around 5.5k or so. Please feel free to tell me that it gets harder and I am a noob, as I have no idea what to expect going forward.

If ignorance were painful, half the posters here would be on morphine drips.
Everyone playing WoW knows everything about playing two classes: 1) their own and 2) Hunters

Well considering how fast ratings drop from leveling, it will get harder, but WotLK mobs died in 2-shots, and Cat starter mobs only have twice their health, so it's not a huge jump up. By the time you hit Twilight Highlands at 84 you'll have sub-20% crit and mobs will have around 85k health.
