What's everyone's opinion on the most overpowered class since the expansion?
After playing BG's for awhile the past couple days I am starting to think things are more balanced than ever. Can't decide what most op'd class is at this point.

Just in general in the 80-85 range. And actually I would say this is the best time to assess the question before everyone starts getting new ridiculous gear.

He was the second poster to hint at your thread is coming a little early. With out people in the gear intended for the expansion it is hard to see what classes are going to come out on top. Guessing with too little information is futile.
If you want us just to throw classes out there in speculation with know real hard facts or points to support our opinions, well then you're not asking us to do much more then the poster you criticize for having no imput at all.

My input is that the best time to judge true class balance is when people are wearing the new green/blues from expansion that beat out previous epic items. The moment every one starts gearing up with the best gear in the game, results are skewed as it becomes more of a gear vs gear fight rather then class vs class. Sure if two people both have equal quality of gear then you can tell however, this is rarely the case except when people are mostly wearing random drops/quest items.
It is not too early to tell UNLESS you have not entered the BG's or experienced some world pvp encounters yet.

I simply disagree. Right now you have people queuing for BG's that don't have PVP gear, they have a mish mash of Northrend blue's and purples as well as Cata leveling, blues and greens. Stats and gear are all over the place, and in no way are they an accurate representation on how the class is intended to function.
Furthermore, with a recent talent over hall patch still leaving classes unbalanced PvP, combined with a recent expansion release, it is likely Blizzard will still make major changes to multiple classes to balance PvE there by affecting PvP. Only after that will they even think about looking at things from a PvP perspective.
A 3 to 4 months from now however hopefully most of the major class tweaks are out of the way and people start to have gear more representative of what they are going to look like end game as far as stat concentration and distribution. Even that time projection is optimistic.

It's hard to say as we all aren't decked out in level 85 pvp gear yet. Right now, burst damage wins, but it takes a lot of burst since everyone has so much freaking stamina.

For now, my mage (Frost) is still rolling people up, in BGs, world PvP, everything. Three of us mages queued for a couple Twin Peaks after we hit 85 and it was almost sad to watch the Horde try and get across the river. I could see this changing once 85 PvP gear comes out and I can't take people out with a single shatter combo / CS anymore though. Mage Armor also made warlocks and shadow priests easy to beat at the end of wrath there, but I have noticed these classes give me a run for my money now-- cant imagine what a class that suffers their whole DoTs has to deal with.

All I know is shooting people for 3-5k with an arrow isn't very effective when they have 100k+ HP. 
Also, Shadow Priest disarming my bow for 10(+?) seconds is ridiculous. 
My vote is that Ice Mage is the most OP spec/class atm.
