It really hasn't been all that bad. Not as bad as I expected anyway. There have been a few times where I have looked around for a mob to kill and sighed but as far as spawn rate it seems that Blizzard did have a little bit of foresight when creating these zones knowing how flooded they would be at first.

Especially with things like named characters that you have to kill. Often times you'll see piles of the same body underneath an already spawned mob. This is what I like to see, no one should be waiting around 5-10 minutes for the next boss mob to spawn.

I agree, Syrus.

Blizz has become much better with named mob spawnrates than they were in the past.

Ha, glad someone remembers. I remember sitting and waiting upwards of 10 minutes for a named to spawn back in vanilla.

I tried the first two nights and Hyjal was too crowded for it to be fun for me to try and do the quests. I actually enjoy doing quests so doing the race 10/15 people to tag a mob game isn't my cup of tea.

I did not try the past couple nights so hopefully it has cleared out some tonight when I take my newly dinged 80 Paladin there.

Area 52 is packed (the server, not the zone). I was #1257 in the queue Wednesday night. Hyjal was doable, but barely. I'm hoping Blizzard will be offering free transfers soon, as I want off Area 52 for a variety of reasons *cross fingers*.

It's been alright on my server, haven't had to wait very long for most mobs, named ones included. I will admit I've stolen a few due to frustration, as I don't like waiting for through two or more spawns of a named, to have someone swoop in and steal it. worried

Though I noticed that Blizzard designed a lot of the major quest ending mobs to be completed for multiple people, even if not grouped or on the same faction.

Kind of been shocked it hasn't been that bad. Even for quest where you have to kill just 1 named, it's usually not longer than a couple of minutes to have your turn. Plus, the re-spawn rate on everything seems to be incredibly high, lol. I've had some quest where you have to kill 8 of this or collect 10 of these things off a mob and I have just sat at the same location as they re-spawn every second it seems.

But overall on my server it's been nice.

Yeah I've done the same thing. Just stand in one spot and wait for yours to respwan while killing the mobs around you, beats looking around for them and competing with the other players. If someone sees you camping one, they will just leave you alone and go look for their own.

I am not sure If they will turn everything down to normal once the rush is gone, but I am very happy to see they had enough insight to start all the spawns as high as they are.

haven't gotten to play until late each night, so it hasn't been too crowded for me, but there are definitely a few more people on than norm.

I've only taken my priest into Vash, she's 81. Was early this morning, so there were people but no PvP at all. Everyone just seemed to be in a pre-coffee state, questing mindlessly lol

Once I hit Deepholm it stopped slowing me down, but Hyjal was Macy's on black friday up to and until I finished it.

Yup, just announced today, looks like Blizzard read my mind. Well, that's not true, there's no free beer and strippers in Stormwind.

i have enjoyed the stacks of named mobs...helps locate where they are sometimes without hunting them down.

people move a long pretty fast the way the mobs respawn and the way the quests are lined up you really don't spend a lot of time in one area of each zone to see a crowd. At least that's what it seems like.

Was out in Hyjal this afternoon for about an hour (1-2pm pacific).

Crowded as far as competing for items that need to be picked up.

Not crowded enough to avoid being baffed by 3-4 waves of mobs at a time (yay for using a class that can heal and for LoH! which got used for the first time in I don't know how long, lol.)

Wondering if or when Blizz is going to turn down the spawn rate. (Noticed that it's following the same pattern of starter zone. 3-4 waves then nothing.)

Probably will hold off on the 80+ zones for a couple of weeks, like I had originally planned. Curious to see what happens over holidays.

Guild still planning a Worgen group over the holidays, so that will be interesting.

Exactly how I and I'm sure many others see it, lol. You almost wish for more people out so you stop getting jumped on every time.

I have an old guild "reunion" scheduled in the morning, we are all rolling worgen noobs. Hopefully it won't be too bad, we picked a medium pop server. I have a bet with a buddy about who will be the first person to sing "Werewolves of London" in Teamspeak......

Yanno, it wasn't so bad until I got jumped by an 80 elite and then had an insta-respawn of the same mob. I mean, come on!

Draenei ret pally. Hauled the mob over to a large treant who was willing to help even though I continued to hold aggro. But it meant finger dancing and kitchen sink time by the time I was done.

PS: yeah, I lived. There was no where aggro-free to run. tongue

It's nice having the options "I'm outta here" and "Bah, guess I'll just kill it" when the first one fails lol grin

The throttled spawn rates cover most problems. They really have this thing down to a science.
