Welcome to the Vault Network forum archive.

This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least 20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per page).

Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50 topics per page, while others deemed of historical signifigance may be archived in their entirety.

We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in lieu of that.

	I have the Virindi plugin bundle (including Virindi Views), and have tried to reference the DLL files for Virindi Views with no luck. I have been working on a plugin, and would like to create a HUD (preferably with Virindi Views) and so far, have had no luck. I'm currently using VB6 with all the latest updates/service packs. I don't really want to switch to .NET if I don't have to, would prefer to stay in my comfort zone with VB6. Thanks for any help. -----signature-----

Okidoki, thanks for the info, was hoping that wasn't the case, but ah well, guess it's time to bite the bullet and move back up to .NET (I did a few years ago, and didn't like how sluggish the IDE was, plus it was like learning a new language even though it was Visual Basic as well). -----signature-----

	I wrote VB6 for years, and now I've been writing .net for years. The 2008/2010 IDE's are really nice. I actually like 2010 a lot. Also, I'd suggest switching to C# instead of going to VB.net. If you have any C background, the transition to either language from VB6 will/should be similar, and there's a lot more examples/jobs, etc.. out there for c#. Good luck! -----signature-----

Cool, thanks for the info, I think the version of Visual Studio I had installed back then was 2003. I was debating that, if I was going to relearn VB, why not switch to C#. I haven't used C/C++ in over 10 years, but I also program in other languages such as Perl, PHP, etc., and the one thing I've learned over the years, is that the first language is pretty much the hardest. The rest are just, for the most part, learning new Syntax for what you want to do. The only part I never liked much about C/C++ is including all the headers for anything you want to do, not sure if that's in C# as well or not. Well, off to learn a new language, thanks for the info again. -----signature-----
