I'm only up to 21 with my Dwarven mage so I've only seen the alliance areas to Red Ridge/Loch Modan and a glimpse at duskwood/wetlands.

I don't like any of them so far. I don't like the re-made Deadmines (the only dungeon I've tried since). About the only thing I do like from cata so far is the extra class trainers and flight paths all over the place. I was going to try a Worgen but at this point I'm feeling I'll just play thru the 80-85 stuff once or twice and call WoW done for me.

Same.

I'm not impressed at all with the changes.

I checked out stormwind, duskwood, and the other alliance changes and it certainly just reaffirmed that I am horde 4 life.

The new org is pretty cool as is azshara with the goblin roller coaster.

But mostly they just rehashed northrend graphics into the old world.

This entire xpac is nothing but recycled B-team stuff and there is absolutely zero way to argue otherwise.

Havn't seen to much myself, I just hit 80 on my Shaman, most of my guildmates who have been 80 forever are diving into the new/old content, they are achievment happy, I don't think I'll see most of the new stuff until I actually level a new character through it.

Well some of the changes I like:

Teld has had it's quests streamlined. I felt like I had a lot less running around. HOwever some thigns were a little too easy. Like the quest to go to the Dan lodge. Not only did they give you automatic escort there but there is a mist and a sentinal there to fight with you. Way too easy, but I understand what they were trying to do because I always get lost in there, but it was overkill easy.

Downside is that rare spawns drop bags and no greenies. So I've had nothing to D/E. I'm going to have to run Lowbies to get drops.

Stockades is better. I like the changes there. Like Hogger added to it.
I like the new fishing/cooking dailies in SW>

I really like what they did with East Plaguelands. I like how there is a sense of recovery and growth. The towes are no longer PvP and there is grass here and there. Light's Hope Chapel looks nice.
Andorhal looks so good. I guess I'm just really loving this post-Lich King feel to the zones.

Haven't really been a ton of places yet to see 'bad' side or dislikes.

Of course more FPs is always good. And mailboxes in Starter areas for BoA transfers.

I liked the changes to Loch Modan and Wetlands. Thought it was very nicely done, with the broken dam leading to the Loch draining almost dry, while Wetlands is a lot, um, wetter, with Menethil Harbour almost underwater.

One thing I did like was they seemed to have gotten rid of the kill 8 of gnoll x and 12 of gnoll y - now it's just kill 10 of any gnoll. Most of the simplifications I don't care for but I never liked spending an extra 5 minutes waiting for the respawn of that last type y gnoll (or whatever critter type).

Yes I did notice this and I liked the change. Nothing Vexxed me more to have to hunt for a certain type of mob when there was nothing but the other type spawned, having to kill them all and wait for respawns.

Use your friendly local mages! They have caught on already many portal services available. I thought they would be gouging the prices but all of the ones that I have run into so far only want a tip at your descresion. I've even had mages teleport themsleves to the city I was in to cast the portal for me.

TIP:

I found it is helpful to role play with these mages lol. Not creepy style just things like, "Good Mage! Could I bother you to sell me a portal!?"

Just that little bit of effort has landed me many of free portal. happy

So far I have played through (most of) dun morogh, the lock, wetlands, northern stv and a lot of the level appropriate instances. I like how the quest flow is MUCH better, and there are a lot more flight paths which greatly speeds up the low level game.

The lowbie instances seem a bit harder, and the bosses in there actually seem like bosses compared to the normal mobs. All of the quests being in the instance itself is a great thing.

The only real low level complaint I have is that it seems too fast to level, and I do not get to complete a zone before the quests end up in the green/grey.

All in all, I am happy with these changes and this portion of the game.

Those who aren't impressed don't matter as long as they don't put their money where their mouth is, and still buy the expansion (and still keep on paying the monthly fee). Which they will do. To the greatest joy of those who are impressed, since they help keeping on funding the game they like.
In the name of all, I'd like to thank those who keep on bitching about this game all year long on this forum, yet keep on paying for it and buying the new expansions. Please keep on disliking the game but paying for it. You do us a great favor.

I was curious about that. I'm running my Mage with BoAs and after a few short hours I'm level 16ish(?).

And it looks as though they've COMPLETELY eliminated the need for Quest helper.

I did a couple of DF instances for my lvl 15-20 Paly and the bosses were actually a bit tough and long fights. Was a nice change...oh and I actually had 2 groups that talked to each other! Amazing!

Meh, it's just more of the same old WoW with a bit of a facelift. That isn't a criticism btw. While I think they could have probably done a bit more here and there, I see nothing that will drive me away until I have a chance to play through it all once or twice.

I've seen enough of the endgame to see it's way too close to the crapfest that was WotLK's and have absolutely no intention of ever partaking in it, unless rated battlegrounds turn out to be far better than they appear to be at the moment.

I do want to see the sub-85 game though.

To be honest I almost wish twinking would return.

I haven't found a remade zone that I did not like yet. The best thing is the quest streamlining. It makes it easy to level and know where to go.

As for favorite zones? Plaguelands, both sides are great. Saving all of Kalimodor (sp?) for my Worgen to go down elf lines.

Exactly what I hate most about them and what makes them so boring. But to the B-team, everything is aimed at getting people embroiled in the craptacular 'endgame' as fast as possible.

Quests aren't supposed to be "streamlined". They're supposed to be quests.

Just curious, why is it suddenly "legitimate complaints" when you agree with what is being said or make a complaint/QQ yourself yet, when someone makes a comment you disagree with, it's derided as crying or whining? Stinks of hypocrisy to me.

Silverpine is so far is the best, not that I've done much outside of that yet.

For the record: Stay in the old world and do quests when you hit 58, instead of going to Outlands. I was doing all the new quests in Blasted Lands at 61 and they were giving roughly 5000 more EXP than the ones in Outlands offered. plain

Does anyone know the level ranges of the zones now, or have a link where I can see the level ranges of each zone? Also is there currently any way cross the divide from northern to southern barrens or do we have to wait til flying is allowed in the old world before that is possible?
