While riding around today I happened to notice that if guards attacked me as I riding by, even if I took no actions - I would get PvP flagged.

Is this new or I just didn't know it, and is this intentional?

Thanks. happy

(Hopefully this isn't the final nail in the being flagged coffin!!)

Did you have any abilities going on at the time like Reflective Shield or something similar?

Or perhaps you got close enough to an enemy area to just get flagged by proximity?

I feel like the game map layout is not exactly correct yet btw. Perhaps an old "flag" zone is still existent in the map where it's not intended to be or is not obvious to you?

If ignorance were painful, half the posters here would be on morphine drips.
Everyone playing WoW knows everything about playing two classes: 1) their own and 2) Hunters

This change is not new. As soon as you actually aggro a guard, it trips your flag. No contact needed. Been this way at least as far back as 3.3.

I was in Hillsbrad, an outpost is right on the road, so I was really close.

Lancelot - you are saying this is intentional and been in for a while? Thanks, that's exactly what I was wondering. Makes exploring more interesting. :o

Well, I presume it's intentional to prevent all the various exploits with pets, reflective shields, etc. I can't find a blue post or patch note about it, though.

It makes sense, I can imagine the exploits, top geared warrior rounding up city guards and players can't attack them. Flip side is this will allow some griefing on all servers. Yay?
