You know, back when I was under Elder, we lost a load of players to Mega under Og II.
We sorta branded ourselves as the nice guys fighting the good fight.. and Mega was the nice guys fighting the good fight.. only with a kickass XP chain.
Yeah, we had a lot of people who wanted nothing to do with the chains and chain drama... and we lost people right and left because they could get a similar level of questing and conversation and guild goodness, but with the easy XPs as well.
The funny thing is, when the chains were nerfed, we just sorta shrugged and kept on with what we were doing, having fun with our friends. (ok, there may have been a superior smirk here and there, but who's counting? I can neither confirm nor deny the rumor of an impromptu victory dance that may or may not have taken place over nanto falls) But while Mega still did great because of all the other good things they had going, some of the other allegiances were pretty much all about the chain and just couldn't take it.

ill rejoin...that is if i can get my characters to log in. im trying to get back in to the game after like 5 years or so...i used to be a part of the Camelot crew. was under edward of camelot. im trying to open the ports for ac but for some reason its not working. and portforward.com has pretty good instructions. just doesnt seem to wanna work for me.any one that has any other advice for me would be much appreciated

You know, back when I was under Elder, we lost a load of players to Mega under Og II.
We sorta branded ourselves as the nice guys fighting the good fight.. and Mega was the nice guys fighting the good fight.. only with a kickass XP chain.
Yeah, we had a lot of people who wanted nothing to do with the chains and chain drama... and we lost people right and left because they could get a similar level of questing and conversation and guild goodness, but with the easy XPs as well.
The funny thing is, when the chains were nerfed, we just sorta shrugged and kept on with what we were doing, having fun with our friends. (ok, there may have been a superior smirk here and there, but who's counting? I can neither confirm nor deny the rumor of an impromptu victory dance that may or may not have taken place over nanto falls) But while Mega still did great because of all the other good things they had going, some of the other allegiances were pretty much all about the chain and just couldn't take it.

you may not like the way it worked but it was not using a 3rd party app to make a chain you just used the system in place and got xp.

ill rejoin...that is if i can get my characters to log in. im trying to get back in to the game after like 5 years or so...i used to be a part of the Camelot crew. was under edward of camelot. im trying to open the ports for ac but for some reason its not working. and portforward.com has pretty good instructions. just doesnt seem to wanna work for me.any one that has any other advice for me would be much appreciated
