Subject: Next issue: 2 Multiple machines on same router.
I had this problem a while ago when we were playing... I remember there was a port collision issue, however I can't remember for the life of me what the fix was.

I think I had to manually set the ports on the two machines. Or was it the machines and the router?

I've duplicated the issue on both machines. One will get in, and the second comp will die on portal in.

XP media center desktop.

Windows 7 laptop.

Lynksis router.

Any help appreciated. If you need more info from me don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks in advance.

I use ACDC to launch and have the ports in ACDC assigned to different numbers on each computer.

I also use ACDC aka Drakiers Dual Client to manage which system is using which ports. You do NOT have to run multiple clients in order to use ACDC. IIRC AC uses the ports in a range of 9000 to 9050 normally, so install ACDC on each machine you wish to use and split that range between them. Example my first machine has 9000 to 9025 and my second machine has 9026 to 9050.
ACDC also does a good job at handling login's and Passwords and ca even be set to start decal so you do not have to do so separately.

AC uses ports 9000-9013

Set one machine for 9000-9006 and the other for 9007-9013

Depending on the router, you may need to forward the ports

I suggest using ACDC. That way you don't have to mess around with the config file.
