Subject: Across the Face of the World, by Russell Kirkpatrick
Just started reading it and so far I'm enjoying it, the prose is good and flows well. But near the beginning it seems to resemble Mistborn a lot in the fact that the bad guys are almost identical. Meaning they both did something ages ago to become immortal and apparently they're huge assholes now. Hopefully the story diverges soon.

I liked the first book in the trilogy.

The second book was OK

Never finished the 3rd one. Might have just been me, but it seemed like a chore not a pleasure to read it.
