Looking for new to watch and also informative for the other tv/movie watchers. Oh and to eliminate any confusion right off... they call a season a series.

Some I've watched...

Doctor Who (new and old) ... it's Who not much more to say. New one is still going strong though we are running out of Doctors, heh.

Torchwood ... hit or miss, pretty much a more adult Doctor Who, glad it is still around as I enjoy it. Coming back for a fourth series, woho.

Jekyll ... excellent single series show, based on Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Long since over but well worth the watch.

Primeval ... kind of an X-Files meets SG1, started out good but has gotten pretty hit or miss. Was rumored to be canceled but I think it got picked up for another series.

Afterlife ... decent series about a ghost, werewolf and vampire living together in modern days. Had a two series run before being dropped.

The Prisoner ... spy is retired to a secret community and wants out. The original is great (1967) and it was remade as a miniseries which wasn't near as good, IMHO.

The Fixer ... good crime/drama show about a secret gov sponsored assassination team and their issues. Ran for Two series and I'm pretty sure it wasn't picked up for a third.

Only ran through a quick list of ones I liked. There are tons more out there I'm sure and I've watched quite a few more than those listed above but wanted to leave it open for discussion.

IT Crowd is another one I've watched though I think I'm one series off... another is due up later this year isn't it?

Fawlty Towers is one I watched bits and pieces of ages ago but never sat down and actually watched them all.

Oops I got the name wrong... I labeled it Afterlife in my post but meant Being Human. Now that I think about it Afterlife was some psychic/crime thing I think.

Most of the others I've at least heard of... I'll have to check them out.

RED DWARF > ALL.

I only didn't suggest it because I was not sure Steelwind was worthy.

Haha didn't mention that one as I figured it would come up eventually. I have the box set sitting next to my desk... I'm working through it again, like I do every year or so.

i watched the first 3 eps of Sherlock and i thought it was alright. although i think it does get kind of silly and repetitive how he gains all sort of insight from these little clues where there is not really a strong/definite connection. i am not sure i would want to continue watching it if they make more episodes...i struggled to finish ep3 although i enjoyed the first 2 eps while the concept was fresh
