Just returned for new patches and what not and I get to the world selection screen and click on Morningthaw and then it does nothing it just closes the launcher and does nothing? Can't figure it out or find similar problems online and of all the problems I have had this is not one.

Edit - Also I am running vista if that helps.

You need to post a decal export.

Posting this from another post so it might read funny, but this is the most common problem with AC. Just out of curiosity, what message do you get when you try to download decal? The main website is down but a link to it is on another post near the top of the forum post.

--- from other post----
you have AC installed under the program files directory. If you are using vista or win7 you should put that elsewhere like c:\users\public\games. You could turn off UAC and it might fix the problem, but for long term solutions I would just reinstall into the directory suggested. You might want to get in the habit of installing anything dealing with AC, including decal and the plugins, into the users\public\games directory. It will save you a lot of headaches.

See I played a few months ago on the same system I am using now and didn't have to do any of that. I can't even get to the freaking screen with the two blue bubbles.

You can try turning off UAC and see if that helps, but I don't recommend it. UAC does serve a purpose. To disable UAC for testing open up a run box (start menu >>> run) and type Msconfig. This will open up the ms configuration tool. Go to the tools tab at the top and click it. This will show a list of available tools. At the bottom of the list are the scripts to disable and enable UAC.

If disabling UAC fixes the problem then you either have to keep UAC disabled or install AC to another directory. I would recommend installing AC to another directory instead of disabling UAC.

If that doesn't solve the problem then you are probably missing files that are needed for AC. Like directx ver 9.c. Also, it could be your firewall or anti-virus blocking AC, but that is less likely in my opinion in this case.
