First off, Ive said it before and Ill say it again, I love vtank. Its so well written and runs so perfectly! So thank you for that!

My suggestion is for vtank not to cast buffs armor is currently casting. For example I have the olthoi underwear on so that I dont have to cast my life protects, however vtank casts all of them anyways. Also some of my random pieces of armor cast (for example) lvl 8's or even 7's of creature buffs. So itd be awesome if its possible that vtank didnt cast those buffs. OR give us a more detailed and intricate way to tailor what buffs we want. If there is such a way to tailor the buffs let me know. I am unable to find where I set what, vtank is just so smart it knows what buffs I need on what character! Which is awesome, however id like to cut back on buff times as that is the most annoying/boring/redundant part of the game haha.

ERR I should specify, the olthoi underwear was just an example. I realize I can customize the life protects that get cast, which is great, however I feel like some kind of automation could be done (again I have no clue as I havent programed one haha) so I dont know if you can see what spells are in effect and not cast them. Mainly I meant this topic towards creature spells, even some item buffs. Like self buffing weapons, I wish there was a check box by each weapon "buff this" or something to that effect. Because buffing my soul bound staff and shadow slayer is just wasted comps/time/etc. Also for example, casting impen on noble relic armor, pointless. So maybe just a more customizable buff profile would be useful if thats easier than implementing the scan for buffs and dont cast if currently in effect.

don't think your suggestion will fly.

as it is now item banes are cast once and every piece baneable is buffed - or 8 spells.

in order to avoid casting spell X on item Y, each piece would have to be be indivdiually buffed. so for example: 7 spells on the undie tops, 6 on undie bottoms, 8 or helm, 6 on... and as you see you are casting WAY more spells then just the 8.

Thats not at all what I am suggesting however of course I see your point. All i meant was the buffs should be more customizable. The impen on noble relic armor was just an example. Like I said, if you have a piece of armor casting acid pro 8, theres no need to cast it. Or focus self 8, no need to cast that, etc. And some weapons self buff, it would be nice not to have to buff them. Just a global checkbox for "buff this weapon or dont at all".

ok yeah if you know which one or Two you don't need

THEN the custom route where you enter the letters for the banes you want would work.

chech her FAQ item 3 and where it says for custom banes see below. just read the very next line and DON"T go scrolling down looking for info below. she truely meant the very next line not some section 3 screens below.

Not buffing life/creature spells you get from items is possible, and I may add it in the future.

I also plan to make a "add without buffs" button for weapons and shields.

As for banes, you're probably just going to have to disable the bane elements you don't want in advanced.

Awesome! thanks for the reply! And while we are on the topic of shields, I know I have brought it up before but I would LOVE it if shields autochanged when weapons do. It just makes sense! Regardless, thanks for all the hard work, vtank truly is an awesome add on to the game and I know I wouldnt play as much/still if it werent around!

VTank used to always pick one shield, and equip that one anytime it could use a shield. Now, you can manually switch to any shield you have in your list and it will keep that one equipped until you switch back from a non-shield stance (eg. magic, 2h or ranged launcher).

Now, I know switching shields manually everytime it buffs is kinda annoying. Dunno what I can do about that though, I don't think I really want to add a shield selection column to the monsters list. That would make things even more complicated than they already are.

I hear ya on that one, with regards to the difficulty. However if it were to work just like the weapon selection, where you just click and it cycles through the names, I would imagine it would be easier. But regardless its not the end of the world! Thanks for all the replies and I look forward to one day having the "more intricate" buff system happy
