Is my new favorite thing. I bought a set of stainless steel cookware (NOT nonstick, just plain stainless steel) and I just couldn't keep em clean. I mean, they'd come clean in the dishwasher (and are dishwasher safe) but there would be this...rainbow-y discoloration on the bottom of the pot or pan. It drove me nuts. I finally got around to trying out Bar Keepers Friend and yeah I'm hooked lol. The pans just look brand new...well, and they should because they ARE pretty much brand new.

And no, I won't hand-wash the pots and pans, I'm too lazy for that plus my kids do the dishes (yay slave labor!) and if they hand-wash it makes me twitchy, they do a good job but they never get it just right.

Yep I picked mine up at Wal Mart. I've started looking at other applications for it. For one thing, my husband's anvil rusted really badly while we were in NJ (very very damp air) and I think this would be the perfect thing to take off the rust without damaging the anvil.

I wish I had had it for our glass shower door in TX but oh well lol.

For the rust, use Whink rust and stain remover - nothing better for removing rust from just about anything instantly. Bar Keeper's friend has been around at least as long as I have. My mom used it and I've used it all my life - I never buy Comet or any other abrasive cleansers, just Bar Keeper's Friend.
