Ok maybe i missed the post, but i cant get decal to install on my windows 7 machine.

I know its possible because i see complaints about certain plugins and windows 7.

The issue i seem to be having has to do with Directx 9c. Windows 7 has 11 installed by default. i tried to load 9c and it crashes the installer.

Decals installer for directx also crashes the installer.

how did you windows 7 guys get around this?

yes i've tried compatability mode.

You have to download and install the latest dx 9.0c redistributable installer, then download the alternate decal installer from http://decal.dreagis.com/ and install it to a non-default directory.

I've had to install AC Dual Client to get decal to show up in Win 7 in the past.
