I've been playing it a little bit, had to redo a lot (from the beginning of the Landsmeet back to the beginning of Lotherin), as I screwed up both Leliana and Oghren's storylines somehow. Now I know more about the game and dynamics, I'm having more fun.

I love the Tactics window. My "hero" is an Arcane Mage, subbed in Spiritual Healing, and is so scripted, that I don't even have to play it (I play either Alistair or Oghren instead).

I made an Arcane Mage/Spiritual healer too happy

Do you wear full armor or robes?

I have the Juggernaut Armor from the werewolf area (killing the Revenants). It's tough enough I can start off the fight with a gnarly AE Damage with both my Hero and Morrigain, then I jump onto the meat shield in the group (normally Alistair, but right now I'm in the deep roads with Oghren). My hero and Morrigain are scripted to do their things (hero mainly on healing duty, then falling back to attacking whatever Leliana is shooting at) with Leliana as the main assist, starting with the targets with the lowest health and working their way up. Having Leliana dual spec'd as Bard/Ranger gives me another party member with the pet, which doesn't suck. Heck, I've scripted the characters like crazy, there's times when I just grab Leliana's pet and play it, letting the other party members decimate the baddies.

Did you unlock the dragon in the dwarf throne room? Because if you try after you chosen a King it doesnt work. The three floor pressure plates. wink

Rezzinu that's nothing when I started I thought I should go alchemy to make heal pots since no healer, then when I got Morrigan she was an alchemist so waste of points, so then I figured I'd go tactics because I thought everyone would get tactic slots if I raised mine so wasted more points there too. Finally the biggest dumb move was thinking the people in camp self leveled so I was better off using Alistar as main tank so I specced him 2 handed meanwhile you can train people yourself in camp the way you want them. :/

In the end it didnt matter because even with gimpy specs I just used Wynn and scripted her only healing with all willpower since healing with forcefield ended up being oped enough to beat anything in game on normal.

Lol, I just completed the mage tower quest (retaking it) and got Wynn on my side. I'm playing it, but not all the time, but when I have the time.

I'm using my main guy (dwarf warrior) as a 2her dps, Wynn as my healer, Allister as the tank, and Morrigan as a dps. Pretty good setup so far it seems. I think i'm only up to level 12 or so, what levels did you guys get up to when you beat the game?

I didn't know about the dragon in the dwarven throne room, I'll have to check that out. Fortunately, I'm not there yet

I got to level 23 or 24 but normal is level 20 from what I read. It doesn't matter though because the monsters change level according to what level you are. So even if you get to the last guy at level 15 he'll be level 15 and so on.

The advantages come from getting the good items and many of those come from side quests or are store bought. You dont even need them though since, like Rags said, just scripting everyone real well is enough. If you do go for them you almost are locked at using Leliana over Alister since you need her pickpocketing and lock picking to make enough money to buy stuff and to get stuff from locked chests to finish quests.

Do you have the Warden keep extra content because there is an awesome sidequest for some moonstone that gets you an amazing 2 hander . happy

I dont have the download content yet. But i'll grab it before I beat the game.

I guess another plus to leveling up past 20 when beating the game is getting more abilities. And that sucks that i'll have to drag Leliana all over the place. I really like my setup that i'm using.
