Southern cornbread dressing.

I'm going to have think about it, I've never ever measured anything. Learned it from my father.

my dressing

I don't measure anything, so it's hard to post a recipe.

Same here, only it's my grandmother's "recipe" that my mom now makes from scratch. None of it is measured. I made it once about 10 years ago, but she always makes it.

I made a squash casserole earlier this year that mom wants me to make again for Thanksgiving and I think that's going to turn into the dish they always ask me to make.

My relatives always make me bake the pumpkin pies. Check the back of the Libby's can for the recipe.

Mine is really simple. Since I am a vegetarian but don't want to mess with Tofurkey and stuff like that, I decided to make my favorite side dish into a main dish. Basically I take some caramelized onions and/or roasted garlic, whatever cheese I feel like using and mashed potatoes and I make a pie out of it. Usually I prebake the pie shell to make sure the bottom gets done. Everything else is basically already cooked, so it doesn't need more time than it takes to warm the potatoes through and broil the extra cheese on top. You can mix the veggies in or just make a layer of them, doesn't really matter. Make veggie gravy or whatnot to make it seem more like a Thanksgiving meal. Also comes in handy because mashed potatoes are always the first thing to run out- so people tend to use the pie as backup.
