I have some code running right now that tracks all the objects on characters you login to (I just wanted to see how fast I could make it). I am trying to decide if I want to turn this into some kind of global inventory plugin, to let you search what your other chars are holding.

What would you like to DO with such a feature? Find salvage on mules? Find imbued weapons on mules? What kind of searches would you want?

majors or epics mostly, say search on major creature and get back a list of armor/jewelry ect that are stored across mules/mains that meet the search condition.

Hmm, I'd like to be able to search for items with spells, sure, bags of salvage, yep, trade notes, quest items, items such as SIK's, keyrings etc. Possibly being able to search for items with certain stats (# of tinks, al etc)

I would love to be able to output to txt at least, or best to html with color coding majors, epics, rends, imbues... that would be wonderful. But Ill take the txt file :-)

id love a visual search feature, that would be awesome... like be able to have all the chars inventories open on one screen...

mostly i would like to search for items on my mule without logging on him.

would be especially helpful for mules/tinkers with rares popped

some of the searches i would like would be

by imbue type (rend/cb/etc)
by value
by armor slot
by spell (major/epic/etc)
by item name (trophies)

hihi VI happy

I use Imp Inventory.
I can search in spells or item names and look for things.
I can sort the results by item type.
I can export the list to other formats, but the processors for those seem to be MIA now days.

Things I dislike -
I have to manually scan each character/chest every time I make a change.
I often log in one of my other mules and drop things on them and promptly forget which mule.
Its not possible to look for Epic Cooking for a specific slot. I can search for armors, but not girth slot only.
You can mark items for trade, but not then just search trade items.

Things I miss -
The old imp move commands. /imp move 24,2 would move the first 24 items into pack 2. The commands would let you move batches of things around, or into trade windows without dragging single items.

Things I would like to see -
There are many items with uses not immediately obvious, ie - sirulan claws 1 housing item, 1 turns in for UA weapon, all of them can be used to gain xp in specific tinkering skills.
Some items turn in for better items/xp in different places, ie yellow jewels and vapor hearts are worth much more in Toomie town on the plateau and should be saved till you can get there.
There are housing items, harby items, quest required bits and pieces.
It would be nice to see some flagging or notice of the use of these items.
It would be nice to see a function that works like SortIt! but lets you sort the items by use.
It would be nice to set a mule to hold x item type. ie Mule of Many things is flagged to hold weapon tinkering salvage. Mule of some other stuff is flagged to hold armor tinkering... etc

I know I want weird things, but some of these would be useful I bet...
and remember... you asked

wubbie

Expanding on Jaclin's request and Wubbie's reference to Imp Inventory ..

I remember when the old Imp Inventory exported the list of items to a CSV or Tab-Delimited file. This allowed me to import it into a Excel spreadsheet and work with the items. I had three accounts back then. So I could take the output from all my toons (back then) and create a Master Inventory spreadsheet.

My request : a simple export of some type useable with a spreadsheet or other utility ..

1. Find anything/everything, including what toon is wearing.
2. Case nonsensitive searches
3. Search hit on name, partial, or in description.
4. Multiple search criteria, example, search for fireR;sword;325 and it will only bring up 325 wield swords that have been fire rended. Could bring up other wield swords if say mana was 325 or bu was 325 but thats ok.
5. Button so can manually call for updating.
6. Once search hits been listed, ability to click on from list and get full description in chat window.
7. Export list.
8. A showing on how many empty slots left on each mule and thier burden so can tell easily who could hold those 10 diamond powders just found or that 2000bu house item needing stored.

All I can think of at the moment, I'm sure I could come up with more happy

SL
