 Subject: mule trade it problem
I'm trying to get mule trade it working.. but its giving me an error 429, cannot create directx something.. when I click on "enable defaults"

One thing I'm noticing, is that its not writing the config file. If I configure the bot otherwise, it never saves anything to the place that it normally does.

The laptop that I'm trying to use is a windows xp, x86.. SP3.

the odd thing is, it works fine on my windows 7 X64 desktop. I dont understand why its not reading the config files or writing them.

Its not showing any date for your video drivers, which is kinda strange. Have you ran Windows update?

all updates have been done. It's running Windows 7 ultimate X64.

The graphics card is an intel integrated graphics card.

UPDATE: I've tried this on my work laptop.. a Dell Latitude E6500 running Win 7 X64, With a real Nvidia Quadro video card, and I get the same problems. It wont write the files.

Lifetank however, works fine on both.

It doesnt seem to matter if its XP or 7.. neither will write the config file on any install but my primary desktop, which i dont want to use as a tradebot grin

You don't want to install AC, decal, or any plugin under the program files directory. Install them under c:\users\public or anywhere other than program files.

WinXP is mentioned in the original post, so "program files" should be no problem at all.

Sempiterna:
I see MSXML4 is not installed - I have no idea why that should lead to an error about directx, but installing it should not hurt - I don't know if MuleTradeIt requires it, but I have it installed and I am pretty sure that's because some plugin once required it.
I also have all the msvc* dlls in the C++ libraries section on both of my computers, which again is almost certainly because some decal plugin required them.

Maybe you should make an export on the Win7 box too and see if what libraries it has that the WinXP box is missing and install those.

I saw the Professional (Build 7600) in the export and made an assumption it was windows 7 build 7600. That version of w7 was installed a lot.

He is correct that if your running xp the directory should not matter. Sorry for the confusion.

Oh, good point about the build, mine clearly says 2600. Maybe it's not XP after all?

I have several machines. XP and Win 7 both give me the same results. UAC is completely turned off under win 7.

The machine that IS working is windows 7, and installed to program files grin

I will install MSXML and report back.
