This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least 20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per page).

Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50 topics per page, while others deemed of historical signifigance may be archived in their entirety.

We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in lieu of that.

	ME <~~~~~~~~~~~~~ computer retarded, thought we should get that out of the way. Would someone please provide a step by tep, exactly what to do method of getting AC to work with Vista? 	Do the other 3 or 4 posts with exact instructions not work? The only things you need to do to get AC (not decal or any plugins) to work is right click and run as administrator. 	Just to chime in on this... The only thing I had to do to get AC running under Vista is to put it in a folder outside of program files. That is it. No run as administrator and no problems running AC. 	it would also help if you were more specific about what the problem is. For example, I did the following: 1. Install in a directory other than Program Files. 2. Once installed, it tried to patch. I received an error...I had to apply a MS fix first. 3. At this point, I got an authentication error...first I disabled the firewall and tried again. It connected and so I had to make the appropriate rule changes in the firewall....for me there were a couple launch apps that needed to be allowed and then I had to oepn a few UDP ports in the firewall...ie 5000, 5001, 5002, etc. I suggest you go to the turbine site as they have the updated steps as well as links. For the firewall stuff, if after shutting off your firewall, you are able to connect but can't connect with it on, then get someone with IT experience to help you through it. -----signature----- (none)
