Of all the chefs/cooks, I like Jeffrey the best. He seems the most at ease infront of the camera, and from the last two episodes he CAN cook.

Watching these people trying to be camera worthy is just painful. Other than that it's a fun show.

Is Jeffrey the guy that got Ground Hog's Day?  If so, he's my favorite at this point.

I really like Eddie even though he bombed Valentine's Day. The food looked good but his presentation sucked. I like Jeffrey too. I can't stand Earth girl (Katie) or the guy that got kicked of this week, I can't even remember his name. I REALLY don't like the Korean chick, I can't think of her name either. She totally lied and all on the first episode.

Eddie may be a good cook/chef (not sure of his culinary background), but I could never stand to look at those eyebrows for an entire show. tongue

hahaha AGREED

I think the Korean gal would be good. She does know how to cook, and she is a good speaker. Granted she effed up the first episode a little bit, but put yourself in her shoes. She did the best she could, and yeah the angel food cake was a bad mistake which she admitted.

Yes Jeffrey is the one who got ground hog day.

Oh I forgot, I think the black chick is very good too, and she has a great personality.

I like the black chick, too (what's her name, Jamika?)  She could be interesting to watch, but I want to see more of what she can do.  I like the mom, but I think she will falter eventually because she doesn't know how to do things as fast as the folks with formal training.

not an ounce of talent between all of them and they picked more boring people than ever this time around

the entire premise of the show is annoying, with the judges trying to force them to be such one-dimensional versions of themselves

Gotta agree - I'm not a fan of the whole premise myself. It's just way too contrived, and the winners they do choose. Big Daddy anyone?

I only watch to see people fail at this point.  Sick, perhaps, but it's fun.

I have to agree that the people they've chosen suck.  I'm not a big fan of Guy, but at least he did ok in comparison to the other winners.

Kudos to them them even trying. I like Guy, at least he has a personality. I think if the Jeffrey dude wins or the black chick, they will be waaaay better than Rachel Ray or the Neelys, or that chick with the blonde spikey hair. Maybe the winner won't act so fake as the Neeley's. That show is just nauseating.

I used to feel the same way about the Neelys.

Then I met someone (coworker actually) who used to be friends with them. Apparently they are the same way off the air as they are on the air.

So while they still make me want to puke, I no longer think it's just an act.

Frankly, I don't think they're good enough actors to pull off something like that.

I can't stand Giada.  I'm not sure why, either.  I've just never liked her.

Don't care for the Neelys or Giada.

I love Guy though, best personality to come out of this show imo.

This year's "talent" is all just bleh, last year was too imo.

Some of his recipes looked okay, but I can't stand to listen to him. Or look at him for that matter. Him and that lady with the same fake dyed peroxide hair - the restaurant chef?

^What Lokkie said.

Can't stand to even look at Guy and I swear to god everything he makes has bacon in it.  Kinda like Paula Deen putting butter in everything.  And I can't stand what's her name on the Secrets of a Restaurant Chef.  Even my daughter said she's weird.

Can't stand that blonde spikey haired chick. Every other thing out of her mouth is "let that hang out for awhile".

I like to watch Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives with Guy. I don't watch many of the cooking shows anymore except maybe The Barefoot Contessa and Giada. I saw the rerun of Iron Chef america last night with the new grills and the cowboy steak.

I don't believe Bobby was beaten. The judges complained about every dish the challenger made, and complimented all of Bobby's. It was just weird.

Adam Gertler didn't win - but he is amusing! happy You cannot deny that the channel has found a few keepers during this process. And you don't like Giada because her gigantic head is just unnerving.

IMO Jeffery will win. I see debbie doing something else along of the line of being selfless/lying) then it will come down to jeffery and Melissa and that's not much of a choice.

Debbie wasnt bad, but yeah, I was glad to see her go. Jeffrey and Melissa both have potential. Melissa has improved dramatically over the show and Jeffery has constantly been strong. I can find myself watching Jeffery moreso. I like his calm-ness. For some reason I think the execs are trying to find another Guy Fieri. While I enjoy Guys shows and his personality, not every personality on the food network needs to be as high strung. A nice Zen like attitude could be a nice balance for them.

I'm glad Debbie went, too.  While I'm sure her Korean background and POV would appeal to a lot of folks, I'm not one of them.  I really don't like a lot of Asian flavors, so I probably would never have watched her.

I've liked Melissa and Jeffrey from the beginning.  I'm glad to see them both at the end.  I'm really curious who will win.

This is gonna be good!! I saw the commercial, and has anyone else? It shows Melissa with some kind of rainbow sculpture that looks like that child's toy with the different color rings.

I have liked Jeffrey since the beginning, Debbie turned out to be a little rip, and I'm not sure about Melissa. It's gonna be close I think.

And the winner is Melissa!

I am a little surprised quite frankly, but she improved a TON and I am sure her show will be good, heck, I may even watch it! heh. Also it would not surprise me at all if the Food Network did the same thing as they did last year and give Jeffrey a show too. (Adam Gertler got a show after placing second to Aaron McCargo Jr..)

I'm so glad Melissa won. I really like her. Her recipes really appeal to me, being that most of them are quick and easy. I've already tried the potato gratin and her 4-step dinner idea. Both worked great and tasted delicious.

I don't get to watch this until Thursday nights so I haven't been posting in the thread because I didn't want to catch spoilers, but I really want to say that I'm sooooo glad Debbie didn't make it to the final 2. I knew from the 1st episode that I didn't like here when she pulled what she did with the grocery budget. I honestly can't believe she made it as far as she did. Sure, she is probably a great chef and I'm sure her food tastes awesome, but would you want someone of her character with a TV show on your network? Come on, most people can see right through her.

So did anyone catch Melissa's new show - $10 Dollar Dinners?

I thought it was ok, but she still needs to work a bit on her nerves.  I will give it a few episodes before I stop recording it.

Couldn't bring myself to watch it. Her voice just grates on my nerves. I think I will wait a few weeks until I won't have to sit there and feel sorry for her while she is trying so hard. I'm not sure I will like what she cooks anyways. The show seems like it is going to have simple things on there which will probably bore me.

I was really looking forward to watching a show with Jeffrey. He really enjoyed cooking and trying new things.
