did you set up multiple directories and copy the files to each directory?

yup did that, tried turning uac off, ran as admin, installed as admin, put everything under /c, tried running it on service pack 2, turned off all firewalls and antivirus, and still says cant run 2 instances of ac at once...

looked through all the other posts here and on the dual client site and there is no real step by step how to on this subject.

Okies first thing I say is.. YMMV

I installed AC outside of program files, in fact I just took "program Files" off the install path when I installed it.
I installed Dual Client into the AC directory.
I installed Decal into its own subdirectory off of c:
I installed a couple plugins to a subdir off of c called Plugins.

I don't run as Administrator
I still have UAC

I "think" (I'm known to be insane) that if ACDC is outside of the AC directory Vista says nooooo don't touch that program I'm keeping it safe!
Installing them all with each other seems to bypass this problem.

I run ZoneAlarm and AVG, they seem to work well for me.
Admittedly I don't play on my laptop much, but I sometimes fire it up to juggle account contents easier.

This is how I did it, it works for me.
Again YMMV, but what can it hurt to try?

Did you set up the paths after you copied everything to them? In other words, is ACDC still only looking at one directory, or did you set them all in there?

Most of the time, these problems arise because people choose "Advanced Setup" and don't know how to properly configure it after that. If you didn't do this, then I don't know what else you could have done to have this problem.

The error message you are getting is a result of 1 of 2 things:
1) You don't have 2 paths configured and installed correctly.
2) ACDualClient is having difficulties injecting into AC and patching the client to allow more than 1 to run.
