I don't know how I knew, really. They just seemed a little out of sorts, thinking maybe they were coming down with a cold. The achy all over feeling. I think some tylenol helped.

it was always my daughter's knees that hurt. didn't go on 24/7, so i knew it wasn't a bug or anything. No other symptoms either.
TLC and keeping warm seemed to help, and Nurofen and rest.

He's only 7 and he's having pains in his knees and his shoulders. They aren't lasting long (less than 5 minutes each) but they are very uncomfortable for him.

The only thing that has me thinking growing pains is that he's shot up almost a 1/3 of an inch in the past 3 weeks.

I thought this didn't start till 9 or 10 darnit!

My best friend in public school grew in massive spurts. He got such bad pains that he'd have a hard time walking now and then. It was like his bones grew and the tendons and muscles had to catch up. He really suffered but it was kinda cool growing 3 inches in 3 weeks. =/

I remember when I had them myself, it was generally when I layed down for bed I would feel achy in my legs. My mother used rubbing alchool on them, that did nothing medically but was a great placebo wink

Aime's three and has been having aches and pains in her legs off and on. I was thinking this was her problem as well, although she crawls around on her knees occasionally and I think they get sore from that too.
