I'm trying to run my 2 AC accounts using dual client. But they seem to lag alot. Should my system be able to handle this:
P4 2.8
1gb ram
256 ati 9550
?

should, BUT mileage will vary greatly based on plugins, what you doing, graphic setting.
2 maxxed out graphic setting clients in a fast respawn area running LifeBloat are apt to be Laggggy.
two mules on low graphic setting muling items at the house should be no problem.
one tradebot or buffbot(low graphic setting) and one active (medium graphics) adventuring toon. may see some lag now and then.

Not allowed.
You are not physically in control of both characters at the same time.
I don't condone or support any form of Combat Macroing.
While Attended Combat Macroing is not against the rules, I still do not agree with the playstyle or it's destructive influence on the game.

you dont need to 'physically control both characters at the same time'
you just have to be able to attend to both accounts, incase you are tested by an envoy

he is correct, either 2 monitors with a client visible in each, or
a really HUGE monitor and small windows both visible are within the rules.
Two running on a smaller monitor so that one client is visible and one is minimized, Breaks the rules but as turbine says breaking the rules does not equal getting caught. IF two envoys show up testing each client you are gone to have a hard time responding to both at the same time and one or both could thus end up getting a ucm holiday.

its not hard to alt tab and talk with multiple accounts, I used to do it all the time, talking to totally different people at that.
anyways, I can see if you aren't good at multitasking, or if your comp isnt good enough to let you switch client to client in an isntant
but still, you dont need to keep watching both accounts at the same exact time.
Q: What do you mean by unattended?
A: If you are not at your keyboard and ready to respond to an Administrator (generally speaking, an Envoy) on demand, you are considered unattended.
This can include being logged on to multiple accounts via the same PC,
***depending on your personal ability to attend multiple accounts simultaneously.***

It was never really a discussion on what is and is not acceptable in terms of what Turbine dictates. It was more that I don't condone any Combat Macroing and would generally appreciate people NOT using it for that.
I'm not naive enough to think that people are just going to stop macroing with ACDC, but I can hope that people won't do it. *shrug*
