Our house doesn't get cleaned as much as it should. I think we probably need some type of chore chart to keep us all on track. Do you use one? Or, do you have some other system of keeping track of what needs to be done?

I don't have a system, I don't keep track, and nothing ever gets done around here! At least, not in a timely fashion lol.

I found that for me, charts don't help. I keep up with the charts about as long as I keep up with the housework, then the housework and the charts start getting ignored tongue

Our chore list was fairly simple I had 2 kids at home my daughter did the kitchen on even days my son odd days, the day they didnt do the kitchen they vaccuumed the living room and who ever had the livingroom on wed dusted. Whoever had the kitchen on Wed checked the refridge for any leftovers or food that needed to be tossed as well as wiped it down. For 2 hours the first thing Sat morning we all pitched in and decluttered the house/yard and garage when we had one.

Any messes they made they had to clean up after themselves. Mopping was done as needed and the bathrooms were punishment chores when no one had gotten in trouble I paid them to clean them. The last Saturday of the month was heavy cleaning day sometimes it might be all the windows in the house, or it might be scrubbing the kitchen from top to bottom whatever needed done.

I have a simple system for keeping the fridge clean!

When it starts growing green or brown hair-like thingies, I throw it out!

Until then, it's fair game!
