Ok, I'm going to attempt to make my own fondant for my son's birthday cake.
Has anyone ever made it before? I am using a marshmallow type, it's said to be tastier.
I'll let you know how it turns out, hehe.
This will also be my first time using fondant, so let's hope I don't screw it up!

Well, the fondant was kind of a pain in the buttocks to make, but I'd do it again, lol. I made it a few days earlier. I wont be doing the cake until Sunday. I'm making SpongeBob SquarePants. This is what he's going to look like.
My hands hurt so bad this morning! Not only do you have to knead the fondant when making it, you have to knead in colors, too. I had to have white; yellow; brown; blue; black; red; and green.
I'll definetly take pics when I am done. I have been considering a website with all my cake projects on it. Last year I made him a Spiderman cake, just the face. Half was Spidey, half was Venom. But do you think I can find the pics? Noo, its on the computer that crashed shortly after his bday, lol.

I love that cake Silver  I wonder if it was made with fondant or with gum-paste though. Either way, it's AWESOME!
