I developed this tool because I wanted an easy way to copy configuration files between computers, worlds and Characters.

It is not a plug-in, but rather an external tool

It does some other interesting things, Check it out.

I made one several years ago designed in Access. It was called decal companion. It did some organizing of data for a couple of the plugins back then. Sixth Sense comes to mind and maybe an inventroy program.

I play 24 chars on Thistledown and I just got tired of always copying the Alinco xml file from one char to another. So I created this for an easy way to do it.

As I was using it, I added a way to log in my 3 accounts.

Later I added a way to log me into some web sites.

Then I wondered if others would use it. I cleaned it up and put it out there.

Post here, what you think. I am also open for suggestions.

I currently working on adding an inventory screen for Alinco so I can see what char has an Item I might be looking for. I want to do this across computers as I use 3 computers. As it is now I have to load all 3 accounts on one computer to compile all the information. You can imagine what kind of a pain this is. Especially when you loot scrolls for a lot of chars. You have to update the one computer so it knows not to grab a scroll twice.

When I saw the Title I thought related to the AC Tool Macro program and it's Companion plug-in/filter/interface....

Isn't that "ACTool Companion" rather than "AC Companion"?

This is not related to AC Tool. But I can see how it would be confusing.

You do not have to use the launch portion. Just disregard it.

Do the auto detect for plugins so it knows where the data is
and use the copy portion.

You can also use the Web Site portion to get you to the web page, it just will not log you in.

I added the launch portion because I am lazy about typing in user ids and passwords.

I have made a couple of revisions. I have been getting feedback about entering your account information, so I made the following adjustments.

7/23/2008 Version 0.0.1.1

On the Copy tab, the destination File name may now be blank to carry the same name as the source.

You may now use the launch system in 3 different modes

1. You do not need to type in any account information. In this case just click on the world of choice and AC Laucher will run. It will default with the last account name you used to login (Turbine default).

2. You can Type in only the Account Name. You would then click the name you gave the account and only have to type in the password.

3. Or use it in full mode where you type in the Account name and Password. It will have the account name and the password filled in, just click next.

reposting in a new thread as this title is confusing
