My favorite is pepperoni, Italian sausage, black olives, green peppers, onions and extra cheese. I usually have pepperoni/Italian sausage/extra cheese because hubby doesn't care for the olives, peppers and onions.

Our local microbrewery makes a Greek Pizza... pesto sauce, feta cheese, marinated portabello mushrooms and artichoke hearts. It's yummy.

I also like a good combo pizza, or sausage/green pepper/onions. Pepperoni is always a good standby, with extra cheese, of course. happy

The usual is pepperoni with extra cheese and extra sauce (the SO likes the extras).

The yummiest pizza I've ever eaten was a Mediterranean Pizza. It had tomato sauce, cheese, gyro meat, onions, black olives, sliced tomato, fresh basil, and feta cheese on an almost crispy dough. It was simply to die for. drooling

Theres a pizzaria my grandma used to take us too called Wedgewoods. The Potato/Broccoli Pizza there was the best thing in the whole world lol. I've tried several times to recreate, just cant do it!

Normally, we get one half plain cheese for the youngest girls, and half pepperoni/bacon/black olive for the rest of us

But if it's only me? I get BBQ chicken pizza :P

My sister in law eats ranch with pizza. Or should I say, Pizza with Ranch, lol. And we are from WA/OR, so maybe it is a local thing!

My favorite pizza..thin crust, pepperoni and fresh pineapple (not cooked, I put it on AFTER its baked).

I don't think it's necessarily a local thing.

My sister (originally from FL/now in NYC) eats pizza with ranch. So does my daughter who was born and raised in GA. She didn't get this from her aunt, either.

My b/f does the ranch thing too, and I used to do it, but not since last year with my new dieting needs. (as in, I don't need it, lol)

He's from TX and I'm from CT, so it's clearly a nationwide thing.

You're right, I started doing it when I'd order wings and I used the ranch they give you for them. I used to dip pizza in blue cheese from them too.

When I make a piza at home I actually like to add slivered sweet onion, sliced black olives, a combination of cheeses, and marinated artichokde hearts. I have never liked pepperoni on my pizza because of the grease ir releases.

Ooh, another thread revival.

If at all possible, I enjoy making my own crust, for starters. I either buy a pre-made dough at a local, healthy chain called Trader Joe's, or purchase gluten-free crust flour at Whole Foods. After that, I'll make a pizza sauce from crushed tomatoes, honey, freshly grated parmesan, olive oil, and some seasonings. On top, I'll put Italian cheeses, just a little cheddar, and plenty of vegetables (mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, chopped broccoli) tossed in olive oil.

I make homemade pizzas too, including the dough, then cook on the BBQ on a stone.

Requirements on my pizza:
Penzey's Ground Chipotle Pepper in the sauce (to make it spicy)
White Corn (very good if you've never tried on pizza)
Pepperoni
Cheese (White only, no yellow)
Jalapenos
Sliced Garlic
A bit of sauce on top after I've put the ingredients on but before cooking

Optional:
Sun Dried Tomatos
Olives
Feta Cheese
Fontina Cheese

If made well... cheese hands down.

Problem is getting it made well unless it is made at home. Always too oily, or too crispy, or funny tasting dough/cheese. In those cases I would change my vote to pineapple and ham grin

Lately, due to a diet, I've been eating a "healthy pizza" that's actually pretty tasty and fast/easy to make.

Use a whole wheat pita for the crust. 1/4 cut marinara for the sauce. 2 oz grilled chicken, 1/2 cup veggies (I like onion, green pepper, and broccoli), and top with 1/4 cup mozzarella (low fat). Back about 15 minutes at 350. under 500 calories and pretty tasty

bbq chicken, no red sauce, just pure bbq sauce, chicken must be diced small, and it needs to be thin crust Italian style pizza cooked medium (not to hard not to soft)

I just recently did a white sauce pizza with pecan-breaded chicken and ranch with a bit of pepperjack shreadded along with the mozz grin

Definitely not a regional thing and it definitely has nothing to do with wings at pizza places. I've been eating ranch or creamy Italian (prefer the Italian) on my pizza for over 25 years. I'm from Oklahoma.
