This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per

Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

Problem with decal under vista?

Ok I have read the threads about you must run it as adm. I can get it runing and have no problem runing the decal update,however when I start decal I get this error
"Your AC Client is out of date.If you are using dual log. make sure all directories contain current version, or get latest from Turbine.(client version=0.0.11.2646 xml version=0.0.12.2062)"
When I klick ok in this message decall agent starts but in all boxes where you are supposed choose what plugin you want to run there is a red x and it cant be removed. And when I run ac decal does not show up inside the game.
Anyone cnow what I'm doing wrong?

Read the error again. Specifically the bold part.
Check your Export for the path that Decal is using for your AC Client. Make sure THAT is the client you're logging in with. If not, you'll need to change some stuff around.

Thanx for reply, hm do you need to download a new client from somewere?
Im sorry but I feel stupid:-) I am returning to ac after 5.5 years playing some good looking crap games:-)
I have not used any dual log yet.Just installed the game 2 days ago updatet it and then I installed decal and some plugins
I have made all that stuff default run as admin.I even tried to install winxp on another hard drive but that does not work for me, I dont know what but after installing xp bios does not ask me what system I want to run when I start the computer.

Post an export so I can see the AC Path that Decal is using.
Then I'll be able to assist you more.
Also.. how are you "starting" AC? Do you have a desktop icon? Using the Programs menu?

I did drag the launcher from ac folder to the bar at bottom of windows screen, shortcut.

Run "C:\Program Files\Turbine\Asheron's Call - Throne of Destiny\aclauncher.exe"
That should update AC.
Delete all shortcuts you have to AC currently. After you've done that, right-click where you want the new shortcut to be (either on the desktop, or the quick launch bar, or where ever you want it) and click New->Shortcut
When it asks you the path to the new item, put in "C:\Program Files\Turbine\Asheron's Call - Throne of Destiny\aclauncher.exe" complete with quotation marks.
Name it AC Launcher or whatever you want and click OK.
Use that shortcut to log into AC in the future (unless you plan on using something like ACDualClient)

well servers seem to be down now,anyway I get this message trying to log in: The Authentcation server is unreachable.
I will have to keep on trying tomorrow:-) (need to go to work now)
