Cast looks pretty damn attractive. I wonder if they are starting the routine that many other reality/competition shows have done . . .

Mix of real contenders, Drama Queens, and Hotties. lol

Watched it! grin

This season has a TON of F=Bombs. WOWZA! :o I'm very happy with who went home. They had the personality of a wet mop. I didn't see ANY of their proclaimed "passion " for cooking in their personality.

I watched it last night. I don't agree with the way the call in poll turned out.

***spoiler***
How can it not be at an advantage to have your partner in the same contest? All of the others will be missing their families but the couple have each other for some emotional support. I think it was a bad idea as far as fairness but I'm sure the producers are hoping it will cause some controversy and help the ratings. *shrug*

I agree with the one they sent home, too. That person didn't seem to be into the competition as much as the others. Seemed kind of out of place. And, messing up the food in both rounds, I think the right person left.

nobody really stuck out to me as extremely talented deserving to win yesterday.

WTF was with all of the pizzas? i missed the explanation of the challenge, but was there a reason everybody was making such unusual pies? and havent any of them ever actually had a deep dish pizza? your crust isnt supposed to be 3 inches thick!

The Quickfire was a deep dish pizza challenge. And you're right, most of them had no idea wtf they were doing.

lol So I guess I have to be vague in my responses since I don't have insider to mask spoilers! tongue

Definitely agree with who went home. I laughed at the over-correction that was made in regards to judges feedback. That has happened in every season. There was a valid point about you better know damn well what a Classic Dish is. One of the individuals who made the Chicken Piccata has an Associates degree from the California Culinary Academy, so the judges were right in their critique, shoot, even I know wtf to do for that dish, not that I could actually cook it in that time frame properly.

Definitely a lot of Drama for this season. Clearly some talented individuals and Questionable ones.

There are 3 self-taughts on this season . . . It will be interesting to see how long they last and what they really know. I definitely think it was a factor in the challenges of the first show.

I wonder if Rocco signed a contract with them or if they (Bravo/Producers/Execs) are having difficulty getting other chefs to be apart of Top Chef. I think it is fun to see certain characters (Anthony Bourdain) each season, but you would think there would be more variety involved by now due to popularity.

Especially with certain chefs being canned or scaled back by Food Network unless they have some absurd clause that says they cannot appear on other network shows.

Well, this weeks episode was interesting.

There was a lot of "evidence" in this episode early on towards who would be sent home. This has been a pattern I have noticed with previous seasons when the competition is young. To save spoilers, I won't say what it is.

The challenges were quite excellent this show. The limitations of the quickfire and the originality of the elimination were entertaining. And of course, someone always screws up in the Quickfire! lol Some teams definitely had an easier time with the Elimination than others. Bear and Vulture I think were the most difficult IF continuity between dishes was an element to the judging. Penguins, Lion and Gorilla were fairly easy with Seafood, Meats, Vegetarian themes.

cant say i really agreed with the losing team last night. that is the problem with that type of challenge, though. you are cooking for the people but have to impress the judges. they really should have had the neighborhood pick the winning team.

I agree about the neighborhood voting or chiming in at least. I was a tad let down who got the boot but suspected it when they kept showing him in clips throughout the show.

I wonder if they emphasized that the losing team "barely" lost. They definitely let the winners know it was barely a win.

That is of course the disadvantage in a team competition format. The worst dish may very well be on an overall good or moderate team and that person gets a free pass.

And as usual, a lot of star players do well in one challenge and flub in another.

Also, I think the reason Zoe was not eliminated was to drag out the whole lesbian relationship element. Remember that executives/producers have influence on who gets eliminated.

My husband turned this on the other night and I couldn't believe how this show had changed since it's inception. These people seem much less professional, imaginative and innovative then their predecessors. It also annoyed me that it seemed as though they were powering down beer after beer at every break in the action.

I doubt that I'll bother watching this show again.

I was referring to their lack of professionalism, not that I was opposed to them tipping a few. I happen to be guilty of that myself, on occasion.

Showing guys bashing each other's heads into the walls and lesbian women languishing in the same double bed didn't scream 'professional' to me. The half dozen empty beer bottles on top of the fridge didn't help their image either. If I knew those details about a chef whose restaurant I considered visiting, I wouldn't bother.

For example, I know Cat Cora is gay and does ouzo shots on Iron Chef and I still would be excited about having her as my chef because she looks and acts professionally. Not so with this bunch.

Silver, I think you just have not noticed it before. Every season of Top Chef and most of the other reality shows, the majority of participants are drinking and partying.

That is why Cliff got canned. They were all drunk and it went to far.

Some of the contestants do not seem professional. Again, nothing new here. Remember, it is part reality show. They are choosing some competitors for entertainment value. Remember, it is Bravo, so of course they are going to play up the lesbian couple on the show.

And who cares what they do in their Living quarters? If they were getting it on in the kitchen, that is a different situation.

I'm not giving you my opinion, just telling you that there is a 99.9% chance that any restaurant you visit is going to have cooks and possibly a chef who act just like the ones you seem to have such a problem with.

I live in a relatively small town and out of everyone I work with and all my friends who cook elsewhere around town, I can think of one or two that don't enjoy a nice round of substance abuse and making an ass of themself. This industry is notorious for having some of the biggest ****-ups society has to offer... and that does nothing to offset the fact we make food that is unthinkably better than anything you are going to learn from watching Rachel Ray.

I did not know Cat was gay. Explains the nickname.

Anyhow...I agree with the feedback on the challenge - the neighborhood should have had a say, but honestly, corn dog boy should have known this was not the time to roll this out. Regardless - he should NOT have gone home before the crappy pasta salad.

I agree with Silverwulf. I want to see the cooking, not all the extra crap that goes on. I watch it for the cooking parts. This season I'm not sure I want my daughter watching it. She LOVES this show but they seem to be turning it into just antoher reality show rather than a cooking show. plain

I agree with most of what you say. When I go to a restaurant, I go there to eat good food. When I watch a cooking reality competition show, I expect to see good cooking competition, not some half drunk people trying to throw crap together and pass it off as gourmet food. With the standard that previous seasons have set, I think this season has fallen way short as well as the previous season as far as people "acting out" goes.

Considering you had one person kicked off for "rough housing" another contestant, thats not really the standard that I think the show has set previously and its just going down hill, like others have said to try and boost ratings. Its going the way of "The Real World" where theyre provided with lots of alcohol and arent ordered told to "act silly" but that its suggested that they do stuff or cause drama that would help the ratings(maybe not in those exact words, but you get my meaning ie theyres a way of telling someone something, without directly saying it)

The drama between Marcel "Foam boy" Vigneron and Betty "Comfort food" Fraser was/is a classic example of this. I mean they kinda hated each other for no reason and its just silly.

I think they should have sent Spike home since it was his idea. But, I think they wanted to keep Spike because Mario was a lot quieter and was less likely to stir up drama.

Yeah, Manuel and Spike screwed the pooch. BUT, they Both gave and took.

Manny just was more laid back. Like they said, this is Top Chef. They need someone who is more take charge. Even with the Vietnamese route, they could have done more. The judges keyed in immediately that they went with Vietnamese food, then picked the movie. They should have done a Beef dish . . . BBQ Beef. Used the line about having a water buffalo jack=knifed up there on the Ho Chi Minh trail . . . gonna drop in a little napalm and see if they can cook it down, have themselves a little BBQ.

And as soon as the other team was put on the bottom, I knew Zoi would not go home yet. They clearly need to drag out that drama. Zoi and her lover prove they are letting emotions get in the way of reality. Spouting off about how there is no way that Richard could have won. They held true to a movie theme better than any other team on top of putting odd things together that worked.

I feel asleep during the commercial break right before they announced who was going home. I hoped to catch it sometime this weekend but didn't. So, I visited the Top Chef site. I'm SO glad they sent that person home. Too many mistakes for someone who is supposed to be a good chef.

Those 2 showed how truly unprofessional they are. Their little intro episodes about how they are distancing themselves and are very professional turned out to be so much bunk. Someone can be on the bottom only so many times before they have to go. If they were so professional, they both would have accepted the judges criticisms and not sat there pissing and moaning how stupid the judges are and how unfair it is.

Bummer, I missed that part. I need to see if they are going to run it again this week right before the new one.

I never thought it was right to have a couple on the show. It's totally not fair to the other contestants who feel isolated and alone from their friends and family. Serious, serious advantage, if you ask me.

So far I think the right people have gone home. Next week looks rather interesting. Should be LOTS of drama.

This week was quite interesting. I am a bit surprised at who went home. The mistakes the other two made I thought were greater issues.

I still laugh at the whole intro episodes with the "couple" and their insistence on being professional about everything. They showed and the one still there continues to show a complete lack of professionalism.

Yeah....how can you not go home when you use store-bought sausage and just make peppers and onions to go with it? I didn't get that at all.

not only that, but go into any hot dog place in chicago or any suburb and you will likely find a much better version of what she had made.

i gotta say i did not agree with the quickfire winner. nobody actually did the challenge properly. the challenge was to pair something with your beer, not make bar food. everybody just more or less made bas food.

this season is horrible. that guy hung from the last season was freakin awesome. that episode where he carved up all those chickens in seconds was cool, even the bald judge guy was in awe. this season there are just a bunch of punks. that guy with the gay hair that wins everything is a dick, i wish they kicked him off after his scaly fish incident. i think dale is probably gonna win, but he isnt that great either.

i think it will come down to dale and stephanie in the finals. i really cant think of anybody else that might join them. maybe andrew, not because he is a better chef than the rest, but it seems he knows how to go mostly unnoticed.

She really should have and I've noticed that has been an issue several times now when people have been in teams this season. How can you be "Top Chef" if you don't stand up for yourself?

Oh what a glorious episode this one was! I think the judges could not eliminate Stephanie based on her previous performances. I know they love to say they only look at the current challenge, but we know that is bs when it comes down to decision like this.

I don't think they look only that the most recent elimination round. I think they look at past experiences a bit, too.

At least the right person went home tonight. Did anyone else notice when he sampled his food and then put the spoon he used right back in the pan? They warned him about that once already. You'd think he'd have learned.

I think Antonia might have a good chance at being one of the final chefs. Her, Stephanie, Richard and Dale seem to be the strongest chefs. I think Nikki will be going home soon. She's had a lot of issues.

I'm not so sure about Stephanie. She's done poorly two weeks in a row now. But I agree that Antonia, Richard and Dale seem to be the strongest competitors.

I think they sent the right person home, but I noticed he was not the only one tasting his food and putting the spoon right back in the pan. At least three people did that last night (I was watching like a hawk). I won't tell who unless you really want to know. tongue

I think the angry lesbian will be the next to go. I do not remember her name.

Stephanie has seemed to fall apart while Antonia is getting stronger. COME ON STEPHANIE!

And Mark deserved to go - he just was not in synch with the competition. I will say that I think there is a cultural issue with this challenge. I think that curry is FAR more popular elsewhere and Mark was a little at a disadvantage as how "American" families may eat.

Regardless - he was dirty and had to go.

On the subject of spoons...ALL the chefs do it...it is just whether they do it in front of the diners or not that seems to be the issue.

I think Mark was at a disadvantage this whole competition due to cultural differences. Even Tom made a statement after the elimination "or a Pint as you all say".

He only did what Antonia and Nicky did for this challenge . . . make what you have made for yourself/family in the same situation. They criticised a lack of protein, yet said the vegetables/starches he chose were packed with nutrition.

I don't disagree exactly with the decision this week, but I do not necessary agree with it. I knew it just had to happen sooner or later with Mark.

After watching it a second time, I saw several others tasting and then reusing the spoon. But, I do think the judges look at the overall performance and not just the most recent one.

At first I thought Stephanie might just have hit a slump but now I wonder if maybe she just got lucky at first. Hopefully she'll prove herself.

I'm not a big fan of Richard. He seems a bit cocky. He does seem to be a great chef, though, and that's what counts in this competition.

Stephanie really does need to step up now. Two chopping block trips in a row is tough to bounce back from.

I agree Jayna, that the judges DO consider previous performance. And yet, they have also been seen saying that it is first and foremost about the current task. It would be interesting to find out how much past performance does play into decisions.

Wow, Nicki was pathetic this week. Basically dictating the entire menu, then saying she is leaving everything up to everyone else to do their part.

Sure, Dale did mediocre work, but he was stepping up to do what every one else said they wanted on the damn menu. Sure, The Chilean Sea Bass was great, but that was just about all that Spike did.

Andrew was freaking hilarious this episode. "I have a Culinary Boner" and "Popeye's wet dream" or whatever it was were hilarious quotes.

I have a lot of respect for Richard. I know many people may not like him, but giving the winning prize away even though the cake was only mediocre (great look, mediocre taste) was quite admirable.

I totally agree! Richard has not been my favorite, but seeing that act of professionalism was great!

I (like Spike) thought the choice of the bride was a ballsy move but at least they understood that this day IS all about the bride and she has had it imagined since she was a little girl.

LOL! I did laugh a lot at the comments on Jen's cake....

I thought Nikki's attitude was odd, too, Tazzer. She seems to really lack in the confidence department. If she had just taken charge, I think her team could've done really well, because their dishes were far easier to prepare.

My respect for Richard has jumped up a lot. He's not just about the gadgets anymore, he's really professional and wants to do the best job for whomever his guest/clients end up being. He, Andrew and Antonia will likely be the final three, but Dale has a chance if he can get over himself and stop being so reactionary. He needs to learn how to be happy.

Yeah Nikki was a disappointment. They made the right choice in sending her home for NOT stepping up. Though last season we lost Tre early on for stepping up to the leadership plate, at least she could've went out with some dignity for TRYING.

I do like Dale. He is definitely passionate. And he does have a valid point . . . Nobody on his team knew how to make mayonaise by hand???? And nobody else knew how to filet a monk fish either. I can see how he is frustrated with the actions of others that have an impact on his own destiny in the competition.

I have not forgiven Nikki since the sausage and peppers fiasco. She CLEARLY has to go. She was playing the game when she absolutely refused to take the leadership role AND thought she was so smart to let the judges know, essentially, that she did not have enough confidence in her abilities to lead to do so. Additionally - the ONE thing she "specializes" in - Italian food - the judges HATED her tortellini.

Dale has produced some great food and should have stayed. I though AngryLesbian's (sorry, I can never remember her name) chocolate cake looked HORRIBLE!!!!

Richard's move to award the prize for the cake was a CLASS ACT! Stephanie probably could have done a spectacular job on any of the other dishes and took on the job no one wanted...and it looked great!

OH! I thought Lisa...AGAIN...should go! The NERVE of her insisting that the other contestant who did not add the grain ingredient go home! POLISH SAUSAGE!!!???!!!!

I did not mind seeing Andrew go and I thought the entire bottom three were arrogant, argumentative and unlikable.

On a final note.....Sam...MEOW!! How I have missed your brooding good looks! grin

I was actually surprised that Andrew went home, but I guess if his sushi didn't taste very good combined with not using all the ingredients..../shrugs

I really detest Lisa. She needs to go soon just so I don't have to see her anymore. I would never eat at one of her restaurants. That's how much I dislike her.

Lisa is a worthless wench. I hated to see Andrew go, but he did forget to abide by the basic regulations. He did get into a blind situation, he was so focused on giving something healthy, he forgot all the rest.

I am glad to see Dale win. If he makes it to the final though, nobody will want to work with him. No matter how much it is a competition, there is still a comradeship involved.

I hope Lisa is the next to go.

I stayed home tonight just to watch the new episode of Top Chef. I didn't read through all the replies but I've been watching TC since season one and have never missed an episode.

This season I think Dale is the best chef. There's no question one or two others are very - very - close but I think he's the best overall chef. Some could say he only cooks Asian food but that's not correct. The person I dislike the most is Lisa and I hope she goes soon.

Anyway, 10 minutes until the next show!

May 21st Show:

I had a feeling Dale's team was going to lose halfway through the show. His team was horrible and you can't work with people you simply don't get along with. Seeing Dale go home was upsetting, I think Lisa should have gone considering her cooking is what made two of the dishes poor. I also don't agree with the Judge's statement that as Exe. Chef you have to have complete control over your kitchen. Sorry...but if the chefs working IN the kitchen don't listen to you you CAN'T have control. Lisa has been in waaay tooo many elimination teams and she always to make someone else go home.

Also, Bourdain is correct in his statement about creating a restaurant with simple food is better than creating a restaurant with a difficult cuisine such as Asian food. I think if Dale's team wanted to go Asian they should have gone with something simple and not dishes that were very difficult.

Now I hope Richard wins...and maybe Stephanie. Still very sad to see Dale go as he was probably one of the top two-three chefs on the show. I mean, how many shows has he won? 5 or 6? More than anyone else!

I can't say I'm sad to see Dale go. He's a complete asshat, but when he's on his own, he seems to put out some excellent dishes. It seems like he simply can't work with other people. Spike was damn smart. He knew Dale and Lisa would bicker like mad, so he stayed out in the front of the house and makes it through another week.

The winning team (Richard, Stephanie, and Antonia) should all make it through next week, too. One of those three will win the whole thing.

If Lisa doesn't go home next week, I'll be very surprised.

I think Lisa is horrible, and she seems to make everyone else around her worse. Look at how many losing finals she's been in? I don't care for Spike, he's an okay cook but he doesn't excel at anything. To me he seems very average and I hate that he doesn't step up at all. He's playing the game, but in the end you still have to be able to cook very well and he'll lose soon enough. I think best chef on there now is probably Richard.

Lisa is impossible to work with AND she sucks as a chef. No idea how Dale went before her. Of course, has he NOT chosen to put butterscotch sauce on scallops, he would still be there.

I HATE Lisa.

May 28 Show.

I'm sooo hoping Lisa goes, or even Spike. I really dislike both of them and am really surprised they are still there. Though, Spike has been playing the game very well trying to screw other people over. Lisa has been getting lucky.

Honestly, I hope Richard wins because he seems to be the best overall chef in the show this season.

Well, it's interesting because after seeing the show I've really changed my mind about certain chefs. I think Stephanie is a much better chef overall than I gave her credit for. I feel Stephanie and Richard are on par with each other. I was happy to see Spike go because though he is a good chef, he seems to make very bad choices and decisions...the few times he's tried screw other chefs over it bit him back.

Lisa seems to have a good palette but her cooking technique is off. Also, something interesting the judges said...Lisa has been on the bottom five times and Spike seven times...Dale won five times and he got kicked off!!! How wrong is that?

Honestly, I think this show was one of my favorite ones so far because each chef was on their own. I think most of the show should be this way, one reason why I HATE restaurant wars. Too often it's the "team" or "ingredient" that plays in who wins and loses, it should be fair and equal across the board to see who the real Top Chef is.

I'm rooting for Richard and Stephanie, but I would like to see Stephanie win. She seems very down to earth, has excellent overall cooking skills, and a good person. I wouldn't mind seeing either of them win. I hope Lisa loses and I think she will, she was the very bottom choice of the judges and you know the judges were thinking..."how in the world did someone who's been on the bottom five times get into the finals???

Looking forward to next week!

I'm not happy with tonight's decision. Lisa is just horrible. Though I'm basing this on her surly personality and negativity. I just do NOT like the girl.

And her new haircut for Puerto Rico is ................. plain

Back to COOKING though, I like Richard, Steph and Antonia and am VERY glad they are in the top happy

Well, I'm disappointed that Lisa made it to the final. I hate her attitude and I think she's a very weak chef. If Spike had just made a better decision regarding the scallops (like NOT using them), I think he would've made it to the final (even though I don't believe he deserves it). They should've sent Lisa home last week and kept Dale. I think he deserved a spot in the final far more than Lisa.

The final should be interesting. I think Richard, Stephanie, and Antonia are three very strong chefs and I really like all three. May the best chef win!!

I have to say this season the judges really screwed up. How can the fourth "final four" person be between two cooks who have been on the chopping block five times and seven times? I'm sorry, but the other chefs got ROBBED this season. There should be no reason the fourth person should do so poorly. It's not right and proves they need to place less emphasis on "team" and "luck" contests and focus on each chef's actual cooking. I have always preferred solo contests and think the show really needs to go in that direction.

A perfect example would be in restaurant wars, if Dale was on the other team he'd most likely be in the final four. But, he was placed on a poor team with two members who had piss poor attitudes. How is he suppose to win?

I'm no Spike fan, but personally, I think his "advantage" screwed him over more than helped him. He was forced to choose something within 5 minutes, and I think maybe the part of the reason he stuck with it was because he felt he had to since he chose it. In that particular case, I don't think he chose what he did just to screw the others over or anything, he just had to make a very quick choice. The others were able to give a little more thought, and dig around a little more to form what they wanted to do.

I agree that Dale should be in the final four instead of Lisa. He may have screwed up the caramel scallops, but Lisa seemed to screw up a lot more during restaurant wars, and just blames it on everyone else. I don't like Dale, but the guy can cook. He always excelled on his non-team challenges. As a true executive chef, I assume he would have canned Lisa as an employee (I'm not sure executive chefs have the authority to do that - but if they do - I'm sure he would have). In this competition, he didn't get that choice. He had to work with her. I really dislike her attitude, and she seems a subpar chef at best compared to the rest. I wish she'd gone home during the improv episode instead of Jenn, honestly. I liked Jenn a lot more than Lisa.

At this point, I'd be happy to see Richard, Antonia, or Stephanie win. I like all three of them. Antonia and Stephanie both seem very down to earth. Richard has a bit more flare, but he can work with other people well, and is incredibly talented and creative. If Lisa manages to win, I'll never watch the show again.

She really should have and I've noticed that has been an issue several times now when people have been in teams this season. How can you be "Top Chef" if you don't stand up for yourself?

I agree but its a tough position to be in because they are under a time constraint most times(especially when buying stuff from a store) and at some point you just have to say eff it and go with the group or you wont have anything bought or planned.

Id like to see Antonia in the finals but she would never win honestly. She seems more of a down to earth, plain jane type of cook and doesnt seem like she is the type of high end gourmet chef, which there is nothing wrong with that I just dont think she has what it takes.

Richard is in the same boat...he is just too laid back and I dont think I could ever see him as a head chef...possibly with ALOT of work on his attitude and leadership skills or lack ther of. He is no doubt a good chef but you need to carry and air of self confidence when in the kitchen and I think he lacks that

I was out of town and missed the last 2 episodes but I read about them. I can't believe Lisa is still there and Dale is gone. I've never really like Dale a lot but he's always seemed to be a better chef than Lisa. I hate Lisa's attitude.

I would love for Antonia to cook for me. I prefer the down to earth home cooking over fancy foods. However, I do think Stephanie and Richard are the strongest chefs. Stephanie had a few issues now and then but she's been fairly strong.

I honestly think Stephanie is going to win this season...theyve made such a big deal about Top Chef never having had a female winner...I think theyre going to give it to her just based on that. Maybe Antonia too but its a far lesser chance since I dont think she deserves it nearly as much since Ive already said she seems more like a cook than a chef.

Finally caught up on watching the last 2 episodes.

Wow, Dale was robbed and Spike just got hammered. He kicked butt, then choked. If he had made a killer entree, he would be there.

Lisa is a joke. It's sad she did not get sent home over Dale 2 weeks ago.

I see Richard and Stephanie as the finalists. Antonia has won a few quickfires, but I think Richard has proven more consistent and the overall better chef. Stephanie has rocked it, winning a couple times. Lisa has to go. I wonder if there was studio influence to keep Lisa since the other lesbians were booted.

Ya know. I have been watching a marathon of top chef today, and I happen to be off today. I totally agree Richard and Steph and Antonia will be competing for the finalist, and I will be happy with any of them winning. I think we can all agree that Lisa should have went home a long time ago. Especially when we learned she couldn't even cook rice.

After rewatching some of the previous episodes again, I forgot how professional Dale would act when things were going his way. I think he got the short end of the stick, but he did seem to only do asian dishes...

June 4th Show

I can't wait for tonight's show! I have a feeling Lisa "loses it" this episode and gets what's coming to her. The haircut they show of her is just BAD. Her hair wasn't great before but now it's even worse! I wouldn't mind seeing a woman win, but I don't think it should play into the contest. The contest should be based on cooking skill, not gender. It seems folks forgot that Casey last season was in the finals also.

I'd like to see Stephanie or Richard win. I think Richard has more creativity but I like Stephanie's attitude and very down to earth cooking. She seems well rounded as a cook.

In regards to Dale again. He was robbed so bad it's not even funny.

I hated to see Antonia go home before Lisa, I really dislike Lisa and think Antonia is a better chef hands down. However, I've thought for several weeks now that the title will go to Stephanie or Richard. I'm sure Lisa will go home next week... if she doesn't I'll be very disappointed. I would be happy to see Stephanie or Richard win it.

And OMG Lisa bugged me when she asked for congrats. I liked Richards response.. "Congratulations for winning the bronze metal".

Sam got cheated in Season 2, Tre got cheated in Season 3. Now SEVERAL chefs have gotten cheated due to LISA staying. WTF are they thinking keeping her around? She isn't good for ratings, she is foul tempered and just pisses off the masses by them keeping her sorry arse!

If she wins, I won't be watching this show anymore plain Antonia is far superior to LISA. Lisa has been in the bottom 3 for several weeks in a row now.

What a crappy show tonight. Crappy crappy crappy.

I think it will be between Richard and Stephanie. Dale or Andrew really should've been in the final four.

No one got cheated. They ****ed up (or in Sam and Antonia's case, were good but not good enough). And as much as I'm sure a lot of you would like it, they can't send someone home because the fans don't like them. I think there are several contestants who were sent home that are far more talented than Lisa, but they all ****ed up at some point while she always did just enough to get by.

It's been evident that Blais and Stephanie were the most talented chefs from early on. It was always going to come down to them so what does it matter who gets third place?

It's been evident that Blais and Stephanie were the most talented chefs from early on. It was always going to come down to them so what does it matter who gets third place?

I agree that Sam, Antonia, and the other chefs who got sent home messed up, but HOW BAD did they mess up? An example would be Dale and Lisa. Dale WON five times and Lisa was at the losing table FIVE times, yet she moved on. Spike was at the losing take SEVEN times and beat out Dale. Come on.

I don't even care for Antonia, but there's without question she has provided better food than Lisa. In the end I believe Richard will win. Stephanie is good but she's not forward enough - it seems - to be a Top Chef.

Anyone who effed up RICE TWO WEEKS IN A ROW should NEVER make it to the finals. And let's not forget her parade of under-seasoned food that she thought would be "too spicy". TRAVESTY!

Interesting article though...

They are about to announce the winner. If it's Lisa I will be SOOO ticked off. She basically got a D+ throughout the season and made it because someone else got a F ONCE. Give me a break.

I think Richard or Stephanie could win...but I don't know. Lisa did cook well this final challenge. I really wonder how the judges are going to rank on this one. I think overall Richard would make a better chef out of the three. Lisa is too much of a hit or miss. Stephani is very good but doesn't seem to have that killer instinct.

Regardless, if Lisa wins Top Chef will have A LOT OF REALLY TICKED OFF viewers.

YAY!! I am satisfied with the decision! I was worried for a bit. I thought for sure the only person I did not want to win, would. If that person did, it was only for the last challenge, not the whole body of work.

Way to go Top Chef Winner!

Yes! I think they made the right decision. I would have liked to have seen Antonia perform in the finale just to see how she would do. It looked like everyone made some mistakes in the finale...everything looked very good, but there were some mistakes. Richard kind of surprised me with some of his mistakes. I think Antonia could have held her own in the finale. But, since she wasn't there, I'm happy with the decision.

Whew.....I was VERY relieved when they called Stephanie's name. I would never have watched the show again if they had given it to Lisa. She really didn't deserve to be there, but at least she did well in the finale. I can't believe Richard blew it, and he knew it, too. I really thought he would win, but I'm happy for Stephanie.

Finally got to sit down and watch it. Thank Goodness. When they started having the judges say "I have a preference" it sounded like there might be a lot of network influence to the final decision.

Richard definitely overthought things and could have used a sous chef. He nailed it right away, that his food is intricate and that takes time he did not have. We didn't even see the frozen tabasco and oyster in the final menu. I also think Richard more than anyone else has acted as a Top Chef (from what we have seen in the editing). He gave away his winning prize in the Wedding episode, he consistently improvised successfully when things did not go as planned, and he can admit when he screws up. He has shown the most quality character of all the chefs I think.

I agree Tazzer. I have a lot of respect for Richard Blaise and would definitely eat at one of his restaurants if I were ever in the Atlanta area.

On another note.....did you guys see the shirt Bravo is selling? Absolutely cracked me up!! LOL

I agree that Richard is a great chef but he's a little cocky. I think the reason I like Stephanie is that she, too, is a great chef but she isn't as cocky. I would love to eat at either of their restaurants.

On the reunion episode I'm a little surprised that Stephanie won fan favorite. I expected Spike to win. I always liked Stephanie and Antonia so I'm glad Stephanie won but I was a little surprised.

I was rooting for Richard in the finale but was pleased Stephanie won. ANYONE but Lisa!

The reunion show was pretty funny. That shirt just plain ROCKS! I never would've guessed Stephanie was in the running for fan favorite. She sure cleaned house this season with the winnings! happy

Best T-shirt ever! I laughed so hard when Andrew said that.

Definitely surprised Stephanie won fan favorite. I wonder if she got a boost since it was in Chicago and that is her hometown.
