The development release of LifeTankX v11.8.4 is now ready for testing

http://www.reality.net/ac/xx/

Includes following improvements:

  • 3D Target indicator will hover over your current combat target

  • Missing buffs support. Will now cast any buffs you don't have active on plugin startup

  • Dropping buff support. Will now cast buffs that are in your list, not queued to cast and have just dropped
*** Does not currently include dropped banes, but I'm working on that

  • Higher priority Healing. Healing spells are now much higher priority than war spells

Probably an ignorant question, but what is the difference in LTX and LTXI

Are they done by different folks?

The latest is working great so far. The double baning problem seems to be gone.

If you want to transfer your settings from the released version of LifeTankXi, just copy them from your LifeTankXi install profiles directory to your My Documents\LifeTankX profiles folder

When I left AC about a year and a half ago, I turned the source code over to C'relic. He has been working on it since then and decided to call it LifeTankXi.

He happened to be leaving AC when I was returning, so he turned development back over to me.

I'm going to do development releases and then once I feel the code has been tested enough, push out a "production" release to the www.lifetankxi.com website.

Oh and I forgot to mention these two improvements also:

  • Higher Priority killing. Critters can now interupt looting and it will pick up where it left off after the critter is dead

  • Salvage list. All looted items to salvage are now kept in a list. No more worries about LTx salvaging some random item in your inventory

How about individual salvage loot/salvaging rules. Like, if I wanted to combine all ivory, regardless of quality, I can set that, but if I only wanted to pick up q8 or better brass or q5 or better steel and combine all bags under work 8, leaving seperate bags for 8, 9 and 10. Is this possible?

    Yes, that is possible today:

    Under Macro->Loot->Filters->Salvages
Add Ivory, wk4, do NOT check the right hand side box (under Combine below)
Add Brass, wk8, check the right side box (under Combine below)
Add Steel, wk5, check the right side box (under Combine below)
Set the Combine below dropdown to 7

That should combine all Ivory into 1 bag no matter the work
It will combine all Brass/Steel less than wk 8 into 1 bag and keep seperate bags for wk 8, 9 and 10

Ahhh.. I thought that was like a global option for all of the salvage. I'll have to re-check it. happy Thanks. Maybe now I can get rid of half of my salvage that should be combining, but it's not.

There are 3 things I'd like to see in LT...if I may post them on this thread.

    1) Loot in peace mode: for mages, it loots in peace mode, then drops into casting mode, then goes to the next corpse, loots, casting mode...you get the idea. With ring spells, I can clear a spawn and should have time to loot many corpses with loot in peace mode, but there is a glitch. I'd love it if I only went back into casting mode when a) a critter was within range, or b) I was done looting

    2) I'd like to be able to tell LT how much salvage I get out of a particular WMS, so it can make better salvaging decisions. I have 4 salvage augs and spec salvaging skill, so I want it to know how to optimize bags based on what I can do.

    3) I'd like the Boost Looting Priority to still use the Salvage Frequency. Currently, if I boost looting priority, it loots and loots and loots and then salvages, even if that is 20 items and my salvage frequency is set to 3, then it salvages it all and even though i'm an item or 2 away from a bag of steel, used 5 items to finish that bag off (see #2).

I love the plugin for loot / salvage hunting, and buffs. Those are just a few minor things that I run into.

Thanks for all the hard work.

Awesome plugin thank you for the update version!

Is it possible to add in a timer to look at bodies on looting before it switches to the next one?
For example, I use Alinco for a looter just because I like its loot profiling. If I set LT up to look at bodies Alinco will loot one item sometimes 2 if it gets the chance. So if there is a way to set a delay in body searching it would be great!

Buffing, it buffs any lice/creture that isnt runnig.. but not the Item spells...

is it hard to make ltx keep track of the timers on the running buffs, including Item.. so it casts new buffs like 5min before they expire?

There was a bug with Priority loot mode in 11-8-4

I've rebuilt and posted a fix, so if you use that mode, you'll need to re-download 11-8-4 and reinstall. If you don't use Priority loot, then no need to do anything grin

The helper function is working better at healing but it seems to be repeatedly revitalizing a fellow member even though their stamina is alread at 100%. One of the ways I get it to stop is to hit pause. The fellowship window is open of course.

nope no filters on...also since I didn't have the foresight to make a copy of all my config files is there an easier way to go through the mob list to reset things or does it have to be done manually?

Did you change the way that voulning and imp works? I notice it will sometimes imp one twice and then skip another one. It is like it thinks it has voulned that other one but it voulned the same one twice. if that makes sense.

edit: just been playing with it and it does not do anything now. Sometimes it will work other times it wont.

Also another small thing is that it switches monsters really frequently, almost like they are triggering the danger zone.

Thanks for the work your put into it.

Another bug when it is on assit fellows it will continue to cast heal or revit until you burn a comp, specifically get this message

The spell consumed the following components: Prismatic Taper

So you can end up casting numerous heals or revits until you burn a component.

Thig big issue is when you logon and have 35min left on buffs.

A suggestion is to add an option for ltx to rebuff all the buffs that are in the profile, when there are aprox 4-5min left on buffs. and this will only work if you have continuous-buffs unselected.

That would be a great.. then you logon and start ltx.. and it buffs when it should.

could this be something to add?

Oh, the updated 11-8-4 has a new sub tab for each rend of weapon/wand... Ignore that for now, as it slipped in by accident. None of the back end code for switching/buffing those is hooked up yet. Just think of it as a sneak peek thinking

When I made a private "multi tool", mixture of the lifetank sources and the eltank guis (all refactored in VC#) couple of months ago, I made a spell ovserver like the one in Eltank.

    Function:

When macro mode in LTX is not enabled, the plugin is nevertheless observing spells and spelltimers, also of item spells (save them like eltank in profiles for chars and next login recalculate the logout/login delay )!

    Benefit:

The observer (loaded/regged in decal) know allways when a spell will run out, in normal mode (LTX disabled), when you rebuff by hand, when you rebuff countinuesly, when you logout and login later...

For me that was the best way of "spell memory"... maybe its an idea for your Ltx...

Well,I got the newest version that you posted, but am having some issues.

While the program will not salvage my high al armor, the combat is a bit whacko. If I tell the program to vuln and turn it on, it will vuln one monster, choose the next and attack (without vulning it) and ignore the one it did vuln.

I can do a debug if you need. Thanks again!

One more thing. I have never had any luck getting the salvages, armor or weapons to transfer in the loot profile. The only items that show up from one character to another are the specials no matter which profile I try to use.

    Thanks again!

For now, try turning off the "auto switch to best target" checkbox on the Macro->Settings->Target tab and see if that fixes it.

I'll take a look at the target selection code again and see why it's switching around so much.

Hey when melee's loot in peace mode they should always have their Sheild and Weapon out. Looting in Potb with ur wand out in peace mode = no good. Just something I noticed when I took a few rocks to the face. Always Ltx is running smooth for me.

My gimpy melee is having wierd problems buffing. Well sort of, the issue is. That he will rebuff xx amount of buffs take out his weapon and shield, few seconds later he will take out his wand and recontinue his buff. Also, a feature id like to see is to set a direction to face after running back to the desired sticky spot. With my back turned trying to re-equip my items i get wtfhurt a lot lol. :P

What I used to love was the ability to hit the scroll/lock key and have my toon attack the monster that is selected, even if it is out of my normal attack range. Sure worked nice when hunting specific mobs like in vod.

That would be an old Eltank feature. AFAIK it was never introduced into Lifetank (not saying that it's an idea tho)

I like it for the ACM friendly aspect of it =P

There is an "Attack selected mob first" checkbox, but it won't attack things that are out of "range" ... (and I won't be changing that functionality)

i've noticed that my rares arent being uploaded to raretracker since i upgraded to your version Xeon. Dunno if its something to do with ltx, or the raretracker site.

Also, does ltx support salvaging augs? For instance, will it combine too much because it doesnt know i get 100% return extra?

Will Lifetank ever have the ability to switch arrows on the fly based on mob best damage selection in the mobs tab , ie an AR bow say and flip to deadly blunt arrows when an olthoi is targeted and then flip to deadly fire arrows if say a tusker is in the mix ?

was a feature in eltank that worked out well for archers at least for myself

Lifetank rocks and your dedication is greatly appreciated happy

It's still in the plugin. Paraduck had me update the connect string so that he can track down what is going on, as LTx is sending it up to the server (as far as I can tell).

That "sneak preview" tab looks very promising, hope you get it done soon. Havent had much time to test your version yet, but so far it seems to work very good.
One thing though hasnt changed since I last "quit" AC more than a year ago: moving LT huds to an exact position is near impossible, huds from other plugins are usually better to move around. Not a big thing (and I guess I could just edit some XML to move them to exactly where I want them), just something I noticed right after installing happy

    problems I have:

Loots even with looting turned off. Only way to turn off looting was to set loot range to 0.

Attempts to loot while still in the middle of killing a mob. goes out of combat to loot without killing the mob all the way, then goes back in and keeps killing.

Doesn't loot rares. Goes out of combat then back in(doesn't even try to open the corpse), doesn't attempt to loot again.

Here is a problem i have when running my little sword toon. When buffing himself if he gets hurt and needs to heal he will do this:

Cast heal, epuip sword and shield, sometimes he will fight 1 mob, unequip sword shield, equip wand continue to buff unless he needs to heal again.

Can be a vicious never ending cycle if he keeps getting hit.

    Anyone else seen this?

I had been using it fine until I tried to get a mage to vuln or imp. Just stood there. Didn't matter what settings I changed, or restarting the prog. Even uninstalled and deleted all profiles to double check. Still no luck.

I like the changes from last build, so I will keep trying to make it work.

Make sure that the Vuln and Imp boxes are checked on the Macro->Mobs tab for those critters.

That allows you to selectively vuln/imp certain mobs and not others (good for EO ninja's for example)

I was about as helpful as your post was.

A real bug report would at least have:

    Which version of LTx
What your settings were (ie: continuous buff mode on, 2 per, 60 min cycle)
What level and type of spawn, etc.

Something that might in anyway help me track down or re-produce the problem.

Without all that info, your post is nothing more than a complaint

    11.8.0.5 is my version.
Cont. buff mode was off and the time length was set 56min.
I have seen it happen on my melee in egg orchard but he has never gotten far enough behind on buffs to make it a serious issue. Happens when he is buffing and then has to stop and heal. After healing, he will get out sword and shield, attack (and sometimes finish, sometimes not) a mob, and then return to buffing.

The only time I have seen it happen is if he stops to heal in the MIDDLE of buffs but I rarely ever take damage with my wand out (the said time above where I did take damage I just killed some ninjas and was surround by rippers). If it happens at the start of the buff (which is where he usually has to heal once due to wep changeout) it seems to go on into buffs with no problem.

I would like to know if there's an easier way to recheck all the monsters in the mob list rather than go through the entire list and manually recheck everything. I have my mage set to vuln first then war. Sometimes, he doesn't vuln and just casts the war spell. Sometimes he vulns the same monster more than twice. I'm running WinXP Pro, 2Gigs Ram, 512 Meg video card, 3.4 Ghz processor. I have the current version of LifetankX and Decal. Plugins also running are Find it, Target Info, AC+, mini map, Virindi follower, Quest timer and HWstats. Thanks for all your hard work!

    Yes, edit the LifeTankX/Profiles/ToonName(SN)/monsters.dat file

Simply change the vuln=0 part of the line to vuln=1

    Excellent work.

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head in terms of further improvements has already been mentioned: melee/archers switching weapons for certain mobs. (Ala ninjas in egg orchard, archer switching to acid bow and acid arrows for that target)

I've been doing some newb leveling and this has been working like a charm. Make sure that you have the Imp and Vuln boxes checked for those critters on the Mob tab.... So you have to check both places if it is not working for you.

I've also worked on the fellow healing/staming aspect and it should now be much tighter. Will post a new dev release sometime tonight.

    Xeon,
Didn't see anyone mention that re-stam for melees/archers just doesn't work. No matter if you set your stam bar almost to the end, you will not stam with potions until your almost empty and even then it won't drink enought to fill you up.

Xeon kudos to the amazing updates and everything! A lot more involved with the players! Thanks much!

    One small request grin

Is there any way you can put an item buffs tab in? For say, re drink beers every 30 minutes? Or Burning Coals and what not! Would be spectacular! Thanks again!

Didn't see anyone mention that re-stam for melees/archers just doesn't work. No matter if you set your stam bar almost to the end, you will not stam with potions until your almost empty and even then it won't drink enought to fill you up.

Ok, I'll take a look at that, thanks for report.

I'd love to use your new version, but I can't get it to work with Vista. When I revert to the version off the old LT site, I can use it just fine.

Using your newest version with vista, I get a toon ig, start portal space, then I get an ACclient crash error.

Any thoughts? At least I can use the other version still I guess.

I have a suggestion for the buffing.

Control buff timer with expire time on creature/Life spells, and when that time hit "rebuff" make sure it also do the banes.

Then you can choose to set "rebuff 5min before" expire or 10min or whatever time ya like.

I know this doesn't work well for continuous buffs, but maybe it could be added as an extra option if it isn't to much work.

When you start LifetankX it will check buffs selected and buff timers.. and when the time comes, it will rebuff creature/life based on the timers.. and auto toss in the selected Item spells.

What do you think? considering adding this?

Thanks for your hard work on the plugin, I have a few feature requests i think LT has long overdue (besides the "smart buffing" feature that solitus mentioned)

-Looting of items based on mana / auto mana salvage of items looted based on filter only (ie if it meets any of your other requirements for looting besides perhaps value, DO NOT SALVAGE)

-allow "luring" (if im out of targets and have looted/salvaged everything, cast magic yeild i on something within the lure radius, outside of casting radius)

-nav system problems (ill get a detailed bug report if nessesary, but i think it is (was?) a known issue

things i think would be cool to add
    - adding "leader" /t command when fellow is closed
use of Healer's heart to heal fellow members within assist radius (if its your selected wand)

Hello, I have been playing with it for a few days - and I would like to give some feedback.... dancing

    1. First off great job!

    2. Please adjust it so that Archers and Melees have scalable Stamina for regen purposes, instead of the hard stop at what, about 1/5? 1/4? bar.

    3. Also, along the same line - is there any way to make it so once it decides to cast a Stamina spell, to MAKE it follow through with that decision and not yo-yo back and forth from weapon to wand, weapon to wand (while it teeters on the edge of where you set your stamina regen point to be?). I dunno, put in something where once it decides to cast that Stamina Spell, that it makes it THE priority until it does it at least once or something?

And yes, it rocks for a mage. I would like a little tweakage for them non-mage types is all.

Again, thanks for a rockin product!

Also on that note if and when it does decide to cast the spell can you please have it cast until the bar is full? im lucky to get half the bar back on one cast. = - o

One thing that my client is doing, not sure if it's doing this for others, but I'll start buffing with banes off the get-go. Typically that isn't a good thing since it burns so much mana without first having mana c buffs.

Another, the looting, or maybe just the salvaging part of it, but it will use every slot I have. I have it set to loot silver/gold @ wks 8+ and combine 3 at a time. It doesn't tend to salvage everything even if there are 3 or more items in the pack.

Edit: just saw the post about making complaints wink

    Version I'm using is 11.8.0.6

I know this doesn't work well for continuous buffs, but maybe it could be added as an extra option if it isn't to much work.

When you start LifetankX it will check buffs selected and buff timers.. and when the time comes, it will rebuff creature/life based on the timers.. and auto toss in the selected Item spells.

So here is the issue with that method:

You can have up to 45-50 buffs active at a time. Which one is in control of the "rebuff" timer? Should it be the shortest buff time? Longest buff time?

What I do right now is detect when buffs drop and immediately add them to the buff queue, so that takes care of any non-item buffs.
I've also added the item buffs to the front of the queue, so when in continuous buff mode, those should get taken care of first.

With those changes, I never have to Force Rebuff when I start anymore.

(There is a bug with it not doing the "pre-buff" which I need to fix, and then the case of starting with 0 buffs and not having high enough skill to hit level 7's, etc, will be taken care of)

I may add in a buff check timer that polls through your remaining buffs and checks to see if they are about to expire and then adds them to the queue... but I still need to finish off the wand/weapon switching for damage type, so may not get to that for a while.

    thx for the answer!!!

Answer to your question what buff it should check: it should check the timer on the first creature spell casted. not sure in what order ltx casts the buffs, but if its creature mastery self. thats the one to be checked. problem is if someone doesnt have that buff in list.

mabye use that spell as a static spell to check, or add an option to choose in the buff section witch spell to track for that "rebuff when 5min left on buffs"

continuous buff mode works great as a mage who always has the wand in the hand.. but ill try it with a melee, and see if i get out of banes or buffs on the weap.

anyway, thx again for the answer.

First off, let me give a BIG THANKS to Xeon for all his hard work on this plugin, its good to see this plugin "back on track". You rule man!

Ok, ive been using the latest release for a few weeks now and havent encountered any major problems yet. The nav feature is still buggy, but seems to be "workable" now (i think the looting changes are what improved this). The "cast spell before logout" seems to work when it wants to, but i think that problem is unrelated to the plugin (sometimes when casting portal recall in a dungeon, it doesnt actually work).

The admin alarm works great! I didnt find out cause i was ucm, but when i made a urgent assistance request(they actually did respond!!).

I, like many others, are patiently awaiting the weapon switching ability of ltx to be implemented. Any ETA on this? I'm sure you have a busy life so please dont put other stuff aside just to please us plugin freaks wink

Oh, one last thing, have you considered adding dispells or stillness gem support to ltx? Maybe a "slider" that we could tweak for how many debuffs before it would dispell/gem?

Thanks again for your work on ltx. If you need any specific parts of the plugin tested, dont hesitate to ask.

Wow, incredible. I've noticed that looting is much more faster now.

I still haven't figured out how to use the 'Item' tab yet where you set your elemental weapons but I'm just happy about the looting and healing. Now I don't even bother wasting healing kits on my melee and instead of my mage heal him.

My wishlist of lt improvements has always had The Multi weapon/wand capability at the top of list. I assume u could customize it for each mob.. like when a ninja spawns, whip out an acid rend wand and fire away, then back to bludgen for olthoi. etc etc. having 3 wands to choose from would be perfect for the mobs i hunt wink

Also.. I've Always wished there was a way for LT to Keep a few mana stones in pack, and constantly filled. Maybe have an option in loot profile to pick up items with a certain amount of mana, to be auto drained by stones. And loot mana stones as they are destroyed. Would save lots of time, and or money for those that buy charges, and backpack space.

    ty for reading grin

I highly doubt we would get auto drains of items to mana stones. I just wish at some point there was something to check in the loot profile for looting mana tanks. I have no problem manually re-filling the stones after looting stones. But finding stuff with high enuf mana for a decent charge is a pita.

Thanks for continuing on Xeon. And everyone try and remember to buy him tons of coffee so he has the stamina to keep plugging along. And the tolerance to ignore idiotic posts tongue

Not sure this has been asked or if I am doing something right but I belive that Specials looting is not working. I had thought it was working when I saw it collecting peas, but then I enabled looting messages and they are being picked up by the burden/value looting rule. I have added things like Pyreal Motes etc and watch them not being looted. There are other items as well.

Is it just me? or is this not working at this time?

    thanks in advance

Perhaps it's just the order the rules check or something, or maybe you typo'd the name of the pyreal motes.

I've added white phyntos wasp wings to the list had them be picked up every time no problem... and they certainly didn't conform to any rules but the special rules. Though I did try and figure out how to make it pick up pyreals and couldn't make that work so I dunno.

Well if it did wings for you then it should work for motes....

When I selected the mote I hit the S and it autofilled in the name so I am sure it is right spelling.

ill play with it a little more, probably my mistake I am sure... thanks

Now has the wand/weapon switching code in place.

Does not have Archer arrow switching yet... Have to decide how to get that into the UI

I need a few melee's to test it out, specially with vuln'ing, wand switching, etc.

Ok, just put up another build that should fix this issue.

    Re-download and uninstall, then re-install

Yes, still version 11-8-7... It still has some issues with fletching, but should equip the correct bow, but not arrows.

I don't have an archer, so I'm working with someone to debug it.

    Much <3 for Xeonx love

I was having a blast working through the bow/arrow/fletching bugs last night, until I decided to change characters and got a client crash.

I will be back in game today when the servers come online, and memlocks are updated to test the latest version which I have already installed.

Also, I want to thank you again for tinking that bow last night. It should make my new game plan for leveling much easier!

Indeed the Stam bar does move but in melee mode I can set it half way and it will use stam potions until the bar is full again and not stop where you set it.

I have the same deal with the stam. If i set it to half, it starts using stam potions, but does not stop after it reaches the set level. It keeps using potions until it is full. Even if you are only 3 stam away, it chugs another.

A separate question I have is if there is a way to add the functionality of preventing the char from switching to using a wand. My Xbow'er dies over and over again, even though I set the vitals to the bare minimum (mana, stam, crit). Inevitiably, he switches to use a wand and it gets him killed. I'd just like to set the wand, but maybe have a box that allows me to either switch to it or not if I want.

Either way, love the prog. It's a great help and my fingers love the less work they have to do!

Do you possibly have the Spells checked for revitalize on the vitals tab?

If you set the vitals to bare minimum, he will never heal... which means you will eventually die.

The Emergency slider handles when it switches to heal spells (if the use spells box is checked) so set that one very low and keep the others at a place that allows your heal skill to work (I find about 65-75% seems to work well). If you do not have spells checked, the it will try potions when it hits the emergency level.

    Thanks.

    I'm using 11.8.6, I'll switch to 7 later tonight.

He heals fine, I meant I have his mana, stam, and crit bars set to min, heal is set at about 90%. But for whatever reason, he pulls out the wand from time to time. I'l double check the settings when it gets back up.

Do you have to add potions to the healing items tab also for them to auto use the potions, or just check potions as a means of healing?

Thank you again for the help, the time and effort you put into LT!

Is there a way to get a melee character to go to peace mode when there are no attackers? It helps a lot with stamina useage. I'm not looting on that character.

I'm not sure what happened but after I installed the latest version 11-8-8, on all three computers the HUD has gone. It will come back after I hit reset but then it will go away again. On my buffbot computer it's gone altogether and the only thing running on it is Castaway, SortIt, Quest Timer, GoArrow and HWAC_Stats. I'll post more info if needed. I did however reinstall three or four times with no change. This didn't happen with the previous versions so I may go back to 11-8-7.

running 11-8-8 now, and its not using mana charges for me. I've stocked the chars with packs full, and mana stones, but it won't use any.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Thanks!

Would it be possible to add something to the plugin so that if you went in and edited the xml, you could add additional spells to cast on some enemies?

I'd love to be able to go into the xml and add a whole list of things to cast on the ninjas in EO to debuff their abilit to super nuke me. Even if it wasn't added to the GUI in game, cause I can imagine that'd get complicated.

There was an error with Archers and the new weapon switching code. Could someone with an archer re-download version 11-8-8 and test it out with Heal mode set spells?
Please PM me with the results.

I've installed the new version, and found it to be much more "sluggish" then the old version so far. Even though turbo mode is selected, its almost as if it's not working. I'm on mage, and there is a small pause after each spell which slows down the overall speed of the macro. The one upside to this is that it no longer casts unecessary double heals, or tries to shoot that 1 extra war spell at monsters that are already dead. The really bad side is, it has caused me 2 deaths within the past hour, in a place that i am very familiar with, and almost Never die. the reason has been its slow response to damage, and it's innability to heal/cast emergency spell while being chain warred quickly enough. Has any1 else noticed this?

I am having looting issues with Vtank (far too complicated for my little brain) so i hop between Vtank and Ltank now depending on whether i want to loot or not and i also noticed this double casting with 11.8.5.

Almost every critter gets a war after it has died now. I live in england so this might have something to do with the issue as teh packet has to travel a very long way. Having said that i do not get this issue of double casting at all with Vtank.

You MUST uninstall the old version before you install the new one.

You will not loose any settings when changing between versions of LifeTankX

    Also, on a side note:
Do not migrate old LifeTankXI profiles/settings over to LifeTankX, as there seems to be some problems. If you have done this, I suggest that you uninstall, blow away your configs and re-install fresh.

I have not migrated over to X yet.

Is there support for mana rations while buffing?

Are there plans to add the creation of rations via cooking as per needed?

So you always have 25 of 'whatever is checked' made and is being used?

In this way, if I only had cooking and no life magic then I could buff/heal/stam as per needed.

The work to get that code written is much larger than I'm willing to do... mostly because I don't have any toons with that template, but also because no one pays me to do this... So unless someone else steps up LT will never support no-life magic templates.

I'm still using LifeTank XI 11.7.0.8, however I do plan to move over to LifeTank X soon (now that I know you are back to developing it tongue ) I do have a question...

Would it be possible to utilize Gems as buffs instead of life? not sure how hard that would be... heh

even just the ability to say use X gem every X minutes would rock happy

Also this is probably just a user error, but I've not heard of anyone that can get the Nav to work right sad

Thanks a bunch for your help on an excellent program grin

I think the Nav broke around/before ToD was released, atleast in my experience. Sticky worked fine, but the waypoints were always bugged.

hmm, I'm having issues logging in while LifeTank X is installed...

Running windows Vista on my laptop, it gets to the character log in, and appears to start loading something within Lifetank, then it crashes my AC sad

EDIT: If it helps, I just noticed I am also unable to Authenticate LifeTank XI from this machine... not sure why

    EDIT #2:
Setting up Admin privileges and compatibility + http://www.lifetankxi.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=347 worked grin

    Xeon,

Thank you again for all your hard work!

I went ahead and formatted my drive and started over. The only installed plugin I'm running atm is 11.8.0.8 .
With the chars I've tried, It will not use any mana stones. I don't think it is using mana charges either, but I've just loaded up a few chars and will be trying that today.

I thought it was just because I had converted my ltxi profiles to x, but now that I've started over and still get it, figured i'd let you know.

I have "use Mana Charges when Mana Low" and "use Mana Stones before Charges" checked.

    Many Thanks!

It looks for the client text message about item being low on mana or out of mana to trigger, so perhaps that is being filtered?

Also, after you get that message and it doesn't work, take a look in your Debug.log file.

I'm not sure if this is addressed or not, but when you ID a weapon with a buffed attack mod, it's showing the buffed instead of the base mod, where it shows the base of everything else.

Yeah, the problem is coming up with a formula that describes a tinkered weapon.

If someone wants to write it up I'd be happy to implement!

Heh, I read that as damage, not attack mod. Nothing to see here, move along.

Well, except that tinked weapons will report > 100% damage

And I'll try to remember to fix the buffed attack mod grin

I think it's a mix between the two. Xeon spoke about the 'X' being the dev version, then pushing it to 'XI' for a stable release.

One of these days I'll get with him to collaborate this. I've just been super busy lately to mess with the XI site.

If you mean the 'Extra' tab under Buffs -> Items, tt didn't actually do anything, so I took it out.

    Hey again,

Thanks for your help Xeon, everything has been working well.

I've upgraded to the newest version 11.8.9

I've noticed that when I set up my mage to simply vuln, after a while, they just stop doing anything. The debug log shows that it is going through the progressions correctly.
The status tab shows that it's doing its job "kill xxxx ! !", but it doesn't actually do anything.

The simply fix is to relog, it goes away, but pops back up 15, 30 minutes later.

I do notice that when it breaks, the ! ! points start showing up.

For example, even when it idles, it will say "idle !", when it works normally, it jsut says "idle".

I haven't seen anyone else say anything like this, so I hope I didn't break it.

Thanks again for your help and hard work!

So you have Vuln and Don't Fire War spells checked?
What do you have the War and Vuln ranges set to?

The ! means that it thinks it's in the process of casting a spell... and waiting for the 'you have cast a spell message or event' (or in this case a vuln to hit the target)

When it gets in this state, hit the 'Debug' button for a 60 seconds or so (and then turn it off) and look in your debug file: My Documents/LifeTankX/data/profiles/ToonName (SN)/logs/Debug.log

    ---------------------------------------------------
Yes, it is set to invuln and no war spells.
The current settings on ranges are 15/30/5 and plenty of mobs within 5 of that range.

I did use the debug, but it seemed to go through its progressions correctly. Is there some kind of "broken" keyword I should look for in the log?

This was an existing profile, but the first time in this place. Previously, I had just wiped the system and installed everything fresh.

Either way, thanks for the help again, and I'll see about saving the debug file next time I'm on.

    Thank you!

    Xeon,
This isn't overly important or anything, but I wanted to point out something interesting with the loot/stacking system. I kinda noticed it before but was never able to find it (but I didn't look real hard).

I've been looting alot of pea's lately. I've noticed almost every time it'll loot to about 50-60 peas, then start a new stack. I'll see this happening, pause the macro, and merge the 2 stacks myself. I'll resume the plugin and it'll keep doing it's thing. After I do all this, it'll keep looting peas, but stops stacking altogether...

Kinda odd.... Everything else rocks though. I wish I could've made some of these changes you've done sooner.

    Nice work wink

    WTF, you playing again?!?

Anyways, yeah, that's a Turbine bug, has nothing to do with decal/LTx. They can't seem to get their stacking code fixed up right. But hey at least it's better than it was before (used to fail after stacks of 20 or so)

I keep meaning to put in a cleanup routine, for when it's idle, it'll check all stacks and push them to max. Already have the code as part of the buy/sell stuff, just need to add in a routine, timer, etc in the IDLE check.

Yeah, it sounds like LTX isn't doing anything with regard to stacking at all. Is it supposed to?

I resubbed a few weeks ago for kicks, just to see whats up wink

IFAIK I don't remember any specific in regards to the plugin stacking, now that you mention it. It did seem to just rely on the client to do the work. I just thought it was kinda odd when I paused and started stacking manually, that it would stop stacking period.

I knew there was a reason I never messed with it, I just didn't remember.

I really like Lifetank X compared to XI. It is much faster. Thank you.

    Feature Requests:
    - Button to Re-Build the Creature Target Stack - Sometimes creatures get lost and u need to manually kill them as LT thinks that they are not there.
    - Automatic Tusker Fist/Wall Spell Option -
    - Loot to a Given Count - (For example Loot Healing Kits Until you have 6)
    - Loot No Buff Weapons (i.e. Def VII, BD VII for bows, and HS VII plus the others for weapons) - Check Box on Weapons Panel
    - Fellowship Buffs -
    - Quest Tab - You can enter the text to start a user defined timer -

Thank you for all your hard work.

Any idea how to counter it? The only time I notice this is when im imperiling in POTB with my mage. Seems to skip 1/15 or so. So basically if im only debuffing stuff I notice the skipped monsters. If im war-ing I seem to always kill everything.

And while im on the subject of vulning/imperiling. I noticed the imperil runs off war range insteada vuln range. If it ran off vuln range insteada war range I could set war really close and kill the stray things that wonder up to my mage (as opposed to bending over and grabbing my ankles).

Also I was wonder if you can clear up an assumption I had about lifetank for a long long time. I always assumed that life tank tracked debuffs on monsters very well. That if two mages were vulning/imperiling stuff that they would identify if their current target was debuffed before taking action. Essentially, lifetank wouldn't cast a debuff on a creature that was debuffed by the other char. Am I wrong in this assumption?

Has timing been improved any for peace mode stance before healing?

Glad to see you back after a long abscence.

Would be nice for cov armor too, useless without brogards/impen VI on it.

Hi all - got a bug which happens in LTX.

The macro and functions work really well apart from one key feature - my character won't attack anything. Doesn't matter if I play a mage, archer or melee. The targetting works fine but it sits there waiting to attack. My attack keys are the default ones. If I manually attack the macro will then loot the corpse target the next mob enter back into combat but not attack.

Client is vista 32-bit. LTX version is the latest - 11.8.0.9. LTX is the only decal utility I have loaded.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried that... I don't have (or ever plan on having) Vista, so support for that OS is spotty.

Xeon: If it helps, I'm running Vista Ultimate/Enterprise 64bit and it runs flawlessly, minus the winsock stuff you have to do. I have the occasional client crash, but I don't know if it's Decal or AC Client related and it doesn't happen enough for me to really care.

Yeah I've registered both files before even loading decal.

Virindi Tank works well and does attack so I know mods can launch attacks from my client.

No idea... you might try hitting the "Debug" key, then take a look in your My Documents/LifeTankX/data/profiles/ToonName (SN)/logs/Debug.log file and see if anything jumps out at you.

Pretty clear message, but my keyboard settings are set to the defaults - i.e. Delete, End and Page Down.

Will play around and see if I can get it to work...

Xeno you mentioned that you had a To Do List. Is it a mental list only, or is it something you could post. It would be nice to dream of the future fixs that you have planned if you get the time to impliment them.

I love the new feature that allows the melees to list multiple weapons, but some of the weapons are unenchantable. LT XI will cast on these until out of tapers. Any chance to check if unenchantable and skip those weapons?

I'm running 11.9.3 and I just went into the egg room for the first time since switching to this version and I'm getting some weird issues.

First, tank absolutely refuses to disregard the olthoi larvae. I can change the settings all I want (right now none of the boxes to the right, and the box to the left aren't checked, and they have priority of 1). No matter what though, tank just keeps going to town on them. Edit - So it seems from watching it that it's not all larvae that it tries to kill, just some of them. After it kills 2 or 3 larvae it ignores the rest and starts looting, but it's still killing at least some of them.

The second issue I have is that sometimes tank will start trying to kill an unknown entity and will just start trying to kill it over and over, even if it's not a valid target (this is less common). The only way to fix it that I've seen when this happens is to relog. After I first noticed this happening unknownentity appeared in my mobs list, I've deselected it also, but that doesn't appear to stop tank from trying to kill them. I've not found a way around the first issue though.

Okay, and a third issue I just noticed, in the middle of killing something it just blacklisted it for no apparent reason. It's half dead, hasn't resisted, and all of a sudden it's blacklisted and tank is moving on to something else.

Make sure you do not have the "Attack anything" checked under the Target tab.

Also, try 11-9-4 and see if that fixes it (should also fix the unknown entity problem)

Version 11-8-5 is now up on the website.

Fixed: Other people casting vuln's will now be detected properly

    --

Turns out that network F755: Apply Visual/Sound Effect -- effects -- are all off by 1

Not sure when Turbine changed them, but it must have been sometime in the last year or so, as I was sure it was working after ToD.

    Hey Xeon,

Thanks again for the work, you know we all love LT to death.

I was wondering if you could possibly add a checkbox of whether or not LT targets ninjas exclusively.

The problem is with all the mobs where I hunt, the ninja's get put into a corner and then LT won't attack anything but the ninjas. since it can't reach them, more and more mobs pop up.

It isn't a killer, but if it would just select the best target by distance, vuln'd or not, it would be just as effective imo.

    Thanks again!

I gotta say... thanks so much for all of your hard work. You are phenomenal (sp)!

Every request I think of gets suggested before I can post it, but this one.

My daughter plays (she's 5) and I of course I have LT running for her. When she runs low on tapers, it'd be great if it would recall to Sanctuary, then log or just log or even play a wave file that says, "Tell Daddy to buy you some more comps." There's not much chance of her getting killed, but she gets frustrated.

In continuing the fine tradition of adding things before they are asked for:

Recall to (Drop down of recalls) before logout as been in since 11-8-something. It's on the same tab as the 'logout when low on tapers' checkbox.

Try enabling the 'Danger' checkbox on the targeting tab. If the Ninja are too far away, it should then switch to a closer target. It's exactly for the situation you are describing.
You may need to adjust the danger radius to get it just right....

Any idea why all of a sudden I'd get "[LTx] [Engine] clsACEvents.OnObjectMoved" all the time? It worked fine yesterday.

nm.. I figured it out. I had it set tofollow yesterday, I went in and clicked on the select to follow button and it fixed the problem

I just installed LTX on a fresh copy of decal, and profiles aren't working.

The included default ones (EO, 110+ eaters, etc) for loot do not show up, and neither do profiles I ported over from LTxi.

Anything special I need to do?

I also seem to be having issue with my continuous buffing. When I buff with or w/o my shield the intervals for buff remain the same regardless of the fact that there is an additional 7 buffs to cast. This causes my buffs to drop while in combat with mobs.

My buff timer is set to 54 mins, with 8 continuous buffs being cast.

    Here is the code:
    Source posted:
    cnt = m_colBuffs.Count
    iBuffsInLastPack = cnt Mod m_iNumBuffs
    iNumPacks = (cnt + (m_iNumBuffs - iBuffsInLastPack)) / m_iNumBuffs
    dRet = m_dBuffCycleLen / CDbl(iNumPacks)

So let's say you have 60 buffs (a normal amount with a weapon and shield) with 8 buffs/cycle and 54 min Cycle length

    iBuffsInLastPack = 60 mod 8 = 4
    iNum packs = (60 + (8 - 4)) / 8 = 7.5
    dRet = 54 / 7.5 = 432 seconds

So let's say you take out 7 of those buffs:

    iBuffsInLastPack = 53 mod 8 = 5
    iNum packs = (60 + (8 - 5)) / 8 = 7.875
    dRet = 54*60 / 7.875 = 411 seconds

I doubt that 22 seconds difference between buff cycles is causing you any problems.

If you post what version of LTx you are using, perhaps I could shed some light on what might be happening....

You do awesome work! I have two suggestions...

Suggestion #1: It'd be great if there was an option (and maybe a separate slider?) that would say "Top off my stamina/mana after a battle." Sometimes I am just barely over the theshold for casting a spell to recover my stam/mana, but there's no mobs (yet). It's be nice to toss a level 6 Revit to top off my stam (at least to like 85%) before the next battle.

Suggestion #2: When you have the 'sticky position' set, it'd be nice if it'd run back to that position after the battle and looting rather than when the next mob spawns.

    Thanks again!

Just wanted to check to see if anyone else has this. I'm using 11.9.0.7 and it works great.

I have found though that as it salvages, it miscalculates how much pack space is left. For example it says it is at 98% usage, when 8/10 of the pack is empty. So far, I just log and restart which is no big deal, but I wonder if anyone else has this happening to them?

Maybe it is a broken routine where it calculates how much space is after the salvage, or a bug.

Either way, thanks again for the hard work Xeon!

    Just another random question here.

Anyway to add multiple buddies to buff? That is, same spells selection but buff more than one person in the buff cycle (including yourself if you like).

Someone just mentioned it but there was no response.

El tank had it and it was a great feature. After killing the mobs and it is idle can there be a way to have it replenish stam and mana so for the next spawn its full stats.

I installed 11.9.9. When I selected a character to enter the game, everything just freezes.

    I uninstalled 11.9.9.

I re-installed 11.9.8. Now I can get in game, but LT does not work at all. It has no spells listed in the spell selection area, does not remember any of my characters. All of the drop down boxes are empty.

So I looked at the decal window. It still says I am running Version 11.9.9. Not sure why. So I uninstalled, and reinstalled ver 11.9.8. Still says I am running ver 11.9.9.

So in short, 11.9.9 did not work for me, and now I can not go back to 11.9.8 which was working.

    Please help. Thanks.

I also noticed that when I uninstalled, all files were still left in the directory. So this time I deleted the entire contents of the directory manually, then reinstalled 11.9.8. Now it reads 11.9.8 in the Decal window, and it appears to be working in game as well.

    Those are rotten peas.

Peas have always been the bane of every looting macro, either picking them up or stacking them. And it is something with AC and it's stacking.

I have run both versions 11.9.8 and .7 and for some reason every 4 hours I get an acclient.exe error saying it failed to reference memory at 0x000012318 or some big number. Any ideas how to fix this?

Not sure if someone has posted this as I don't want to read through them all, but since this thread seems to be for things we would like to see:

    1. Old tank programs used to have a shortcut key that you could set different outfits to quick change too. It was very helpful to change from hunting gear with mana draining items to "walk around clothes"

    2. Wishful thinging, but is there a way to incorporate color identifying plugins with looting abilities (i.e. it would loot armors that were a certain color)

    3. Is it possible to incorporate mana charging equiped items when they run out? This may already be there and I just don't know how to do it.

Overall, this is an awesome program and I thank you for putting time into it. You help out a lot! Keep up the good work

    Hi Xeon,

    I just loaded 11.9.9.

I noticed the level 8 Buffs didnt seem to recognise a few.

I've noticed that since the server upgrade, buff buddy fails to catch when the buddy logs off or is out of range. Using the latest version, it just hangs on 'buddy rebuff' and won't do anything until you select a different buddy or restart. Not a major bug, but thought i'd mention it.

Thank you for a great program!

Sorry to tell you Muertte, but, I have multiple Vista and multiple XP (both Home and Pro) clients and have no crashing issues at all across the suite of them with LTx.

I have had a few issues LTX and other Decal utilities over the past 7 years with hardware or minor applications conflicts. The only "accross the board" answer I can suggest is that you look at hardware to be sure it meets the needs. LTx will push some of those limits.

My apologies if you already found a fix .. as I know you have been posting in other threads since this post here.
