This should be added to the sticky imo. This is not my work but from the LTxi forums.
It reads as follows:

Ok so I decided to do some searching to get it to work on Vista. I found that there are other programs that have the same exact errors as Lifetank has. So I tried to emulate the fix for the other programs and here is what I came up with:

1.) Open a command prompt (search for cmd)

2.) Type the following commands:

regsvr32 /u /s mswinsck.ocx
regsvr32 /u /s msinet.ocx

BINGO! Now LTxi will auth properly and it will work!

Note: I am running Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit)

We have a Tag!!

Anyone else find this information useful? Maybe -Foxy- can sticky this or add this info to his (or her) existing sticky. Maybe it will save someone 30 minutes in searching and frustration, not to mention multiple login/logouts to see if problem is fixed.

I had to type run in the bottom search option of the start menu. I am not pleased with compatibility of Vista overall, however as an operating system it does look promising once bugs are worked out. I would also like to see an option to unprotect the program files section at a simple panel in the control panel, but that is for another topic another day. Thankfully my computer will be fixed today, and I will have XP Pro back!!!

(It was rumored by one that Vista is going to be like Windows 98, just a tease until a new OS comes out in three years that is what Vista was supposed to be. IE XP what windows 98 was supposed to be) pumpkin

For some reason I find the idea of making help posts for specific plugins 'sticky' not appropriate. Isn't that what the plugin help sites are for?

The sticky is already there, I was just looking at something to add to it. Overall it is general decal info for making it work on vista. I for one, reinstalled decal and all plugins to my Documents directory.

My computer is back up and running so pretty soon I will be back on XP!

Sooo, with that said, it would just be an added note about a problematic plugin, which in this case is already mentioned. grin

About time for a cup of coffee
