Subject: dereth explorer ?
when i went and re installed it and started it up during the splash screen thing where it starts up the little what u ma jiggers i get errors that pop up saying something is missing or what have you. ive tried to get it to update and it still doesnt do anything the map doesnt build just a big black line or crosshairs goes thru where the map is supposed to be. the error boxes say " Failed to read XML file for map objects. tried to read from 'C:/Program Files/Gawa Ibn Edwas/Dereth Explorer/data/data_cod.xml' but found at leats one error: the element 'location' has invalid child element 'ref_id'. list of possible elements expected: 'latitude'." i duno why it typo'd the leats/least. next "Failed to process loaction that have been read from 'C:\Program Files\Gawa Ibn Edwas\Dereth Explorer\data\data_cod.xml'. Error:Method not found:'Void System.Object[,]. (Int32,Int32)'. amd then there is the final error boxes with more info:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

-link to dereth explorer i used http://www.direlands.net/derethexplorer/

sounds like you need to do an "Update" on the locations file or something because that is what it is really complaining about. Perhaps CoD broke the map locations. I don't know.
