Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

I need a little bit of help trying to refine an alternate use of Fortune Hunter to hand things in...
If you are willing would you please add the following lines to the collector portion of the xml...
<collector name="Nimeruuk">
<collects item="Trade Note (250,000)" response="tell" detail="Speak with my brother Doruuk if you wish to have those mushrooms cut up!" returned="1" />

<collector name="Doruuk">
<collects item="Tiriun Mushroom" response="tell" detail="All right, looks like you have space for the mushroom parts!" returned="3" />
</collector>
On Bur there are 2 NPCs in a side room, Nimeruuk and Doruuk.
Nimeruuk trades a small stack (5) of mushrooms for each MMD
Doruuk then takes the whole mushroom and after you click yes he returns 1 cap, 1 stalk, 1 spore.
My issue is that the hand in to Nimeruuk suddenly stops...
I'm trying to see if its just an issue I have or if other can recreate it.

believe the issue is the y/n box, you'll need to generate an ACtool script

as I said the Y/N interaction NPC works fine, its the other NPC where you just hand him a tradenote and get the stack of 5 mushrooms in return where it is failing for me.
makes life a bit easier that I can sit and get them cut up but woudl be nicer to be able to turn in a whole stack of tradenotes at once as well...

Unfortunately, I lack the ability to get to Bur at present to have a look myself. If you can PM me a transcript of the chatbox when you hand him a note so that I can see what happens, I'll see if there's anything I can do to help.
Edit: Hold that thought, Bur flagging was a LOT easier than I'd been led to believe. I'll check it out.
Edit: Ok, I see the problem- it's just lag. The client doesn't realise you're finished handing him a trade note before it tries to hand the next one, and stalls when you're 'too busy'. Fortune Hunter's due for an overhaul for Vista compatibility if nothing else, I'm going to try and make it a bit more robust in it's next release. Meanwhile, all you can realistically do is just abort and try again when it stops.

Bur flagging is just annoying...  getting Bur Recall is the true pain in the butt.
Thank you for looking into this.
Would it be possible to add a feature like is found within MakeIt! ?
MakeIt! lets you define a time interval before it considers trying again, and people on faster connections can use smaller ones and those of us slow people can use larger ones.
