Ok, here goes...
As Lynea said, i used to post here as EsmereldaSkysurfer. My real name is Gemma, and i grew up just outside of London. I have only left jolly ol'Blighty once in my life, which was when i went to Italy with my school choir. Thanks to that trip, i have the ability to say that i have sung Bohemian Rhapsody in the Duomo, Florence.
I have 2 brothers and a sister, all older than me, im tall, blonde-ish, overweight and some say i have an attitude problem. I'd rather say, if people give me attitude, i give them a problem
I'm currently among the ranks of the unemployed, having quit my job on tuesday to move halfway across the uk. This scares the crap out of me, as its been years since i've been properly unemployed and i want to get a job asap. Over the years i've worked many, many different jobs, from things like cleaner, to my last job which was insurance sales (ugh, in a word!!).
Im soon to turn 25, and although i know that isnt an old age, i feel very old. I have arthritis, which may well be rheumatoid, the doctors arent sure yet, which makes me walk like an old woman, and was partially responsible for me gaining a ton of weight (this will be the year when gemma becomes svelte again, i swear ). When im feeling good, i spend a lot of time spinning poi, and one day would love to spin fire poi, when im good enough that i dont set myself on fire with them
I used to LARP, hence my status here as the resident LARP-er... sadly due to a combination of arthritis and the fact that after a while i just outgrew the whole larp thing, meant that i dont do that any more. These days i'd rather hang out with my friends in RL rather than with costumes and latex swords
Back in 2002 i met my husband, some may have seen him around the SC boards as ClanDusky... we moved in together, dated for a while, and then got married in September 04... sadly we hit the worst rough patch ever in february, and currently we are legally separated, and im living chez Wolfzbane while i sort my head and my life out.
I have a cat, Miss Kitty Fantastico, whom i adore... she is living with Dusky at the moment, though, and i miss her so very much it hurts. Until yesterday i lived by the sea, having moved there in 2005... no matter where i go in my life, that area will always be my home, i love it like nothing else.
I love music, and singing. I play the clarinet and guitar, and a very tiny amount of piano, but mostly i just love to sing... i only ever really feel truly happy when im singing, its the most amazing feeling ever. Other than that, i read lots, im very inquisitive and i like paint and draw. Im the black sheep of my family because for the most part they are stable, dependable types and i turned out to be a flighty artist with a temper
One day i would love to train as a nurse, although im not too sure how im going to go about that. Mostly i think im a good person... i've done some bad stuff in my life, and made some mistakes, but ultimately i just like to make people happy.

I did the LARP thing for a few years, but mostly with my Gathering group (the gathering is more about camping and spending the weekend getting drunk in a field with your friends while dressed in funny clothes and wielding latex weapons ), we held some events at a club called The Keep in Burnley occasionally.
