Subject: Hey all - Having Decal troubles after patch... again.
So, I dl'ed the new patch, updated, and red x's continued on everything. I reinstalled Decal from a .msi (to bypass the dxwebsetup error); clean reinstall I followed the instructions, deleted lifetank (which is what I did last patch, and it fixed the problem), but I'm still getting red X's, and it tells me every time I open decal that my client version doesn't match my memlocs version.

Any ideas?

Okay, I went into my .xml files, and the killbit displays this:
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An invalid character was found in text content. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Program Files/Decal 3.0/killbit.xml'.

And the memlocs display this:
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An invalid character was found in text content. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Program Files/Decal 3.0/memlocs.xml'.

My update list displays correctly, however, I don't think it is working correctly because this doesn't seem right:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <updatelist version="1.0.0.0" generator="OVERDUE">
<file type="xml" localname="decalplugins.xml" remotename="http://update.decaldev.com/decalplugins.xml" version="" />
<file type="xml" localname="clientpatches.xml" remotename="http://update.decaldev.com/patches.xml" version="" />
<file type="xml" localname="memlocs.xml" remotename="http://update.decaldev.com/memlocs.2862.xml" version="" />
<file type="xml" localname="messages.xml" remotename="http://update.decaldev.com/messages.xml" version="" />
<file type="xml" localname="killbit.xml" remotename="http://update.decaldev.com/killbit.2862.xml" version="" />
</updatelist>

Okay so maybe that can help you guys help me out. Because I'm totally stumped haha.

Thank you in advance for any help.

make sure everything is installed and then shut down ac and decal and run the Decal Utilities program in the folder where decal is, that was suggested to me last night in /a and it worked very nicely.

Yes I tried that to no avail... Last patch I had to uninstall lifetank, reinstall decal from .msi, and then use the decal utility, then reinstall lifetank...

This time, I uninstalled EVERYTHING, reinstalled from msi, and used decal utility, and manually installed the .msi files, and still nothing...

I'm bummed sad

Those are the WRONG memlocs

What is the client version? (lemme give you a hint... it ends with 2873)

You are getting a cached version. Please try again later. That is the only solution
